Grrreat piece of microcinema meat ready to claw down your screen and tickle your funny bone

Wolfster is a delicious piece of microcinema meat. For having a next-to-zip budget the flick is extremely well done. The quality is much better than a regular amateur home movie and the shots flow from one to the other flawlessly. Even the technique and angle of the shots add spice to the spoof. Wolfster's story was well thought out and isn't hard to follow. The actors did a great job getting into character and making the audience want more.

Speaking of the audience, Wolfster's hilarity lies not only in its jokes and B-movie spoof tactics, but in breaking down the fourth wall right into your living room. I've always wondered what it would be like to be stuck in a movie and Wolfster's hilarious adventure takes me there.

I definitely suggest this movie to everyone. Especially those who love 80s horror flicks, you'll find something to love and laugh at.

    Great Indie Fun

I just recently ordered this movie because of VGSpoofs (actually, I got THIS movie just to get the VGSpoof DVD free!). Part 1 was hilarious from start to finish. The way it was put together was only half 80s horror spoof however, but that's okay. The insults on Emo's fake culture made it all worth while. The lighting was good, the make up was terrible (making it hilarious), and I enjoyed Steve Rudzinski as Dave. The breaking of the fourth wall definitely gave this flick a uniqueness to it that I haven't ever seen before. Shawn Shelpman as the Emo-Vamp and Jessie Deep as Beth were the obvious stand outs, although the guy who played Barry (Keegan I think) nailed the bad acting, even if he was actually trying his hardest. Nic Pesante as Deacon Sloan in the 80s montage sequence was also a very welcome addition.

However, it has a few lame scenes and has just a VERY small amount too much of Dave narrating.

Part 2, the second half of the double feature, didn't quite have the same amount of charm as the first one. However, I think that it's spoofing of choice, that of superhero films, was done even better than the spoofing in the first movie. The overly-cheesy girlfriend, the costume design montage, bad monologues, and plenty of one liners.

But the real star of part 2 (which has the greatest title ever, The Wrath of the Egyptian Mummy from Egypt), is Henrique couto as Dracula. He is funny in every frame and goes back and forth with Dave (Steve Rudzinski) so well you can't tell when it's a script or improv. The effects in this film were also very well done for someone with what I'm assuming is a low budget.

But it's shorter than Part 1 and as hilarious as it is, I think the costume of the actual Mummy could have been better. There was also one scene when Dracula was explaining why the Mummy was here that seemed to drag.

And I don't know who this "likestochangename" guy is. His review should go un-read. It's not because he dislikes the movie whereas I loved it, it's moreso because his review cites things that didn't happen in the movie. He review reeks of troll-dom as opposed to actual criticism, and I doubt if he's even seen it.

Nevermind that. I think the Wolfster Double Feature is a great thing to pick up (for the price). It's a perfect example of great fun and very good writing from someone with little to no money. Wolfster is a VERY welcome addition to my micro-cinema movie collection. Only a few minor problems that I pointed out prevent this from being a perfect no-budget indie.

    I give Wolfster a SOLID, 8/10.
