    Very clever.

I caught this on DVD in Arizona while sifting through some stockpiles after festivals. One of the many perks of working at festivals. The film opens in an all but deserted parking lot sometime during the night. A man and woman are sat in a silver sports car in the center of the frame, waiting in anticipation. Another car parks up and we have a suspicious arrival of some sort of gangsters. A threat or even a fight seems immanent after a minute or so once the man refuses to comply with the gangsters orders. But...after that this film takes us from one world to another and so it goes until you never really know what is going to happen next. At that moment the picture quality and sound changes and to say anymore now would spoil it. I didn't know whether I felt cheated, caught out or just enjoyed the ride with the unpredictable twists but if you can forgive the constant change in plot and narrative, sit back and just see this film for what it is - A bit of fun then you'll really enjoy it. Overall it's a really intelligent short film, very funny and occasionally brilliant - even the acting deserve high praise, from the main cast to the extras. The lead actor gives a remarkable performance as the insecure and struggling performer.
