    Drug users will like this

This is not really a movie but rather a random collection of dialog that -as far as I can tell- has little to do with the novel it is supposedly based on. There is some slow-moving, bland and just plain cheap CGI that accompanies the various dialogs but really serves no purpose other than to be overly colorful -which is why only people on psychedelics could actually like this film.

The original novel written by Kenji Miyazawa, while incomplete due to his unfortunate death, is really well written and engrossing! Fortunately, there are many other film/TV adaptations so go check them out and forget about this trash.
