Every once in a while I like to download some movies (yeah I know, it is a sin, but as long as the theaters around here don't show movies 24/7 I have to find another way to 'get my fix') and sometime ago I downloaded this one. Tonight I finally got around to watching it, and in my opinion it is nowhere as bad as the 3.3 average vote on IMDb. Sure, it is no masterpiece, but I found it quite enjoyable to watch, decent acting(liked Amy Brienes) and a decent storyline (Although I noticed some flaws)
Not really a movie that you make special plans for to see, but if it happens to be on TV and you have got nothing better to do then watch TV, just watch it, just as good as anything else on TV nowadays.
PS: my native language is dutch, if you are going to comment on bad grammar in this post please do so in dutch ;)

Interesting, if not far fetched storyline.
All put in a reasonable effort, though I did keep thinking how better this would be with a bit more production quality and better actors. I swear that the motel owner, criminal and police officer all come from the same gene pool, friends of the producer?
Nice scenery. Looks like it was filmed over a very short time frame.
Matt Loney was the stand put. I was surprised given his performance that he has not worked more. He reminds me of a cross between Phil Hartman and Alan Thicke
Better than any film I never made! lol

Chasing Butterflies was excellent! We truly enjoyed the premier in State College held in the spring of 2009. There was some bad language, so parents of young children might want to review it first. Overall, we found Chasing Butterflies to be truly funny and enjoyable. I took my 71-year-old mother and she laughed -- even through the parts with bad language. Seeing some local scenes from central Pennsylvania was also pretty neat. From what I understand, this was a low-budget operation, so we were very pleasantly surprised to find it was so good. Don't be afraid of "low-budget" or virtually unknown actors and actresses. Remember "Boyz-n-the-hood" had absolutely no known stars and it was one of the best movies I've ever seen. I highly recommend seeing Chasing Butterflies.
