8 Guys

Found this at a thrift store for roughly three dollars, didn't know what it was or why I'd want it but I knew that this stupid name and tagline would be enough for me to buy it. To my luck, it was still sealed and long story short, I couldn't find a whole lot about it on Google. So, I digitized it and scanned the cover art in. Me, my brother, and my friend Michael decided to watch it yesterday and after reading a previous review on this, I did not have high expectations. I was absolutely blown away with how amazing this film was! It is very clearly a home-made video being shot on what appears to be Hi-8 tape or something of the likes, but even with that, this is such a funny and well-written short film. It's definitely more geared towards guy-humor but even with that it gets a lotta laughs for the 20-minute time it takes to watch 8 Guys. This movie is 100% worth getting if you can find it physically and worth a watch if you can find it digitally. It is so unfortunate we cannot find this strange gem on any website there is.

and was horrified to see it for what it truly was. This was the worst film I have ever seen. Never in my life have I seen such bad acting, directing, and production value in a film. I wasn't surprised when I found out it was written, directed, and starring Dane Cook. This man seems to be a failure in both the film industry and in life. I normally don't post about films on this site, but I felt like I should step in and do my good deed for the day by alerting my fellow movie-going brethren about the awful, distasteful experience that is this movie. Save humanity as we know it, boycott this film. How this young, inexperienced comic got famous is beyond me.
