Terrible waste of time and money

Terrible. Seemed like a sixth form review with a decent budget. The writing was pedestrian and dull and the acting was just irritating. The only thing that worked was the location filming. The quality of light and the way they were shot looked like the photographs of William Eggleston. Very nice. It's just a shame the material couldn't do it justice. I tried to give the show a chance but it each time I tuned in I had an overwhelming urge to destroy the TV. I think the intention must have been to make another League Of Gentlemen, although why this was thought worthwhile I can't possibly imagine. The League of Gentlemen almost always managed to keep the emphasis on the humour rather than the eccentricity and weirdness of the characters. Dogtown just abandoned the humour altogether. Possibly the worst comedy of the year. Even worse than Snuff Box or Tittybangbang.
