This movie has everything it needs - excellent story, great cast, good directing. The story is very real and thought-provoking - I know people, who act like the characters in the movie. The cast surprised me. I've never seen Nebojsa Glogovac playing so good. Vojin Cetkovic also has done a great job. Goran Susljik in the leading role is outstanding. Damjan Kecojevic and Suzana Lukic also play their parts well.
This movie made me cry, which happens very rare, so it's 10/10 from me. It reminded me a little bit of the books of Irvine Welsh. Although there are some funny moments, there is much obscene language, the movie is a drama, so don't expect something funny or light-hearted.

... this movie says a lot of things about different paths of life and growing.
Main characters, friends from elementary school, get together after 11 years and spend one night together. Movie is about different life paths, loneliness and its affect on people, brutal surroundings and its consequences, it is about kindness and its importance, it is about finding the right way and sticking to it. Beautiful movie, i sincerely recommend it.
What I felt throughout this movie? Happiness, sorrow, joy, sadness, despair, enlightenment. It is about simple people, with common, yet complex issues; riddled with religious underlinings that we do not understand (yet) and/or take for granted. Filled with subliminal messages, historical traits, philosophical and spiritual ideas, Hadersfild provides a thought-provoking, mind-boggling, emotional roller-coaster that will eventually leave you questioning existence, reality, sanity and ultimately God. It is about compassion, friendship and the need and instinct to care about your fellow human.
I applaud the performance of the actors, especially Nebojsa Glogovac, who had me in awe and tears throughout most of the movie.
Keep an open mind while watching this movie and I promise you, you will learn much from it.

Let me start with direction, amateur hour cinematography and almost complete lack of knowledge or effort to control the light. Most annoying is the random "greenish" creeping into frames that have completely different natural color as if they bought long expired film roles on eBay. It looks like director entered some apartment, hasn't even thought about a basic set design (starting with the color of the walls) and just let the cam rolling. Occasionally he got lucky, mostly he didn't.
Actors were basically allowed to just repeat the play they did in live theater instead of actually acting for the film and the result looks rather forced - all the way to some actors almost yelling during the normal conversation since they forgot they were not on a stage anymore. In particular the portrayal of a father (Josif Tatic) looks grotesque on silver screen and the crazy neighbor (Nebojsa Glogovac) who has great screen presence looks so overacted and random at times that it lost any believability. They forgot that there has to be a method to a madness :- )
Great little surprise is excellent Suzana Lukic as a horny student (Milica). Best guess - she actually prepared her role for film instead of just repeating stage stuff. Other actors are not bad, just forgettably average in comparison. Nebojsa Glogovac is actually a disappointment since he was supposed to the lead and ended up being a forgettable support. Part of this is also due to lacking direction.
The play itself has been lauded as great but it looks barely average, with a pileup of pseudo-intellectual musings and theological rubbish which at some point in the 3rd quarter of the makes you look at your player's slider to guess when is the drivel going to be over. Some of that might be interesting enough on stage where the audience is used to talking heads spewing a lot of lines and the lack of cinematics but looks like a filler on silver screen.

A well-crafted, uncompromisingly strong and deep movie which depicts the consequences of war, poor decisions and politics on the lives of ordinary people, while leaving no stones unturned.
Glogovac's performance is on the level of Academy Award winners and the shirt metaphor is spot-on.
Highly recommended 9/10.
