    Cheap TV movie

Emilie Janzen (Dedee Pfeiffer) has a superpower of seeing visions when she touches people or things. She's separated from her husband for 2 years. She had a fight with her daughter Lori. When Lori isn't in her bed the morning after a party, Emilie is panic. Police Det. Cornell (Terry David Mulligan) tries to investigate. She sees visions of her daughter locked in a basement. However she just doesn't need more clues to find her.

This is a cheap looking TV movie. On top of that, the premise and the effects for the visions are weak. It feels like the usual damsel in distress movie with a supernatural thing tacked on. The production just look so cheap. Most of the acting is reasonably acceptable, but there isn't enough here to recommend.

    Pretty Cool

I'm a fan of TV movies in general and this was one of the good ones. The cast performances throughout were pretty solid and there were twists I didn't see coming before each commercial. To me it was kind of like Medium meets CSI.

Did anyone else think that in certain lights, the daughter looked like a young Nicole Kidman? Are they related in any way? I'd definitely watch it agin or rent it if it ever comes to video.

Dedee was great. Haven't seen in her in a lot of things and she did her job very convincingly.

If you're into to TV mystery movies, check this one out if you have a chance.

Very insight into the plight of a mother, especially those with "sight"

Interesting that she had never had visions until her daughters was kidnapped, and makes total sense. Dormat abilities will often react that way. Mine did with the death of my mother. As for some reactions that it lessoned the "abilities" of the male, I totally disagree. The detective was never rude or condescending, and was actually relatively open to her suggestions, as much as he could be, officially. And her husband, even separated from her, was right there by her side the whole time. I thought this movie was right up there. I might would have liked to see a bit more interaction with the son. As for the perpetrator... sorry, but the disturbed boy really had no future, anyway.

    not for me

This 2006 LMN TV movie once more glorifies the woman and weakens the male population. However, in this chestnut, I was hoping the mother, played annoyingly by Dedee Pfeiffer, would be the one locked up in the basement and for good. She got on my nerves. Going around breaking into people's homes, causing the death of a young man and screaming at her children. Her daughter, played well by Tegan Moss, had every right to get away from this controlling witch. The husband, played by Matthew Harrison, bullied by his over reacting wife, was also a victim. It seems everyone in this film was a victim of this obsessive woman that we're supposed to feel empathy for her? Not me. I wanted someone to come around and lock her up. A wasted evening of TV watching and a bad performance by Feiffer, put this viewer to sleep. Snorrrrrreeee!

Martin runs straight out the driveway and is hit by the car. In the following scene, the car is stopped well before the driveway with Martin in front of it. In a crash such as this, the car would hit him and travel a distance, probably 50-100 feet, beyond the driveway before stopping.
