Waste of time the actors aren't even that good, boring.

I really like this show and its my comfort show i can always enjoy the show and i really love the cast they're so good in acting i don't know why people disagree with me also its so nostalgic for me i started watching this show in 2015 and now its 2024 its almost 9 years ago and i still really like this show and watch it anytime i want i was never get bored of this show i can say I GREW UP WITH ARKA SOKAKLAR! And i really don't want this show to end but i hope more people watch this drama. I started learning turkish from this drama. But i feel bad that the ratings are so low they literally deserve more.

Same plot cycle again and again. Anyone who hasn't seen a good show says this is good. The acting the scenario the 10 seasons long show only a waste of time.

A neverending tale which should have concluded long ago even though they had to chance to do so! It's quite obvious that the producers have been fully using the advantage of the acting skills of the 2-3 pivotal leading actors' till the bone.

Along with the disgusting camera angles, poor acting skills of the minor roles (which decrease the attention of the viewers), bad jokes, the script is simply suffering since the last couple of years which makes it hard to continue the series. It's unfortunate that the show evolved into a waste of time because of the producers' greed and so fear of losing the profit.

In case you might want to watch against all odds, then my advice would only cover the first 3-4 seasons.

I have read the bad reviews and opinion is fine, however, this long running and very popular show is anything but 'badly acted' or 'badly written'. The main characters are strong, believable and consistent, remaining true to their archetype. Many of the main female characters are no less valued than their male counterparts, facing the same dangers and treated as equals, as they should be. Admittedly this has developed over time.

The writing addresses issues otherwise taboo in many Turkish programmes like spouse and child abuse, different sexualities, economic exclusion, political corruption, people trafficking and a plethora of other subjects. Yes, the soundtracks can be a little generic (*read cheesy. :o)) but I have still found a few new (to me) songs over the years through this programme.

Give it a go and if you don't like it, that's also good but definitely don't dismiss it.
