    Really not that bad

No, it's no academy award winner, but you'll get a laugh or two out of it. The plots not original, but the two main actors, Tenique Mathieu and Andy Gershenzon are really quite good. They seem believable. I hope they get a chance at a good movie soon. It wasn't quite honest enough about black/white relations. They made it Jewish vs Baptist. It's like they were afraid to really go there. Good Times actress Stanis and Amen's Davis are way too hammy, but the guy who plays the gay cousin is a real laugh. No swearing, let the kids watch. I'd actually like to see part 2, the wedding, or maybe a TV sitcom about Black/White relationship with Gershenzon and Mathieu.

    Terrible waste of my time

The only thing that could have made this movie better is if they played "ebony and ivory" a bunch of times. Then I maybe would've ranked it as the funny/good kind of terrible.

Acting was some of the worst I've seen in a film, and even if the actors had been any good, the script was 110% contrived. Attempts at including 'stock' characters and issues, like the love triangle, the gay cousin, and the oblivious/overbearing mother were forced and unbelievable at best.

This movie is bad enough to make it to the bottom 100 but it will never get there because not enough people will see it and vote on it. Knowledge of that almost makes up for my dissatisfaction with this 'film'.

If you try to watch this I doubt you will make it through the entire thing.

    Funny movie

The film was pretty funny. I didn't rate it TEN compared to Citizen Kane or Chinatown, but compared to most family comedies and romantic comedies, it's pretty funny. You didn't have the feeling you were watching a movie because the acting was good. The established actors were fine but the real surprise was the younger actors Tenique Mathieu and Andy Gershenzon who combined a good sense of comedy and the kind of chemistry, like their characters really clicked well together, that was better than many of the current "A-list" romantic comedies where the stars seem to be just going through the motions. The film itself would be fine for most family viewing. I'd like to see those younger actors in some other comedies with maybe some more complex plot lines. But for a family film the characters all did well and viewers will have a good time.
