Robin & Company

If they had to design from scratch the perfect morning headline news host I suspect the manufactured model wouldn't come too far astray from Ms. Meade. Robin is drop dead gorgeous (along the lines of Raquel Welch), articulate, knowledgeable, very natural in her presentation, personable within proper bounds, and doesn't appear too full of herself. Her supporting troops, particularly Jennifer Westhoven on the finances, are adept at handling their assigned spots. I'm not much for the news shows but Express spends just enough time on each topic to keep me interested without boring me. They also try to steer away from too many sensational Nancy Grace-type stories that kill most cable news shows for me (when they tease a Nancy Grace item I'm gone). BUT BEWARE of 1) the number of commercials HLN will throw at you during this show, and 2) the inaccuracies that crop up and hang around even after you send them an email on their mistake (like the one about "John Denver" - dead for years - being cited for excessive noise). All that said, still gets a qualified thumbs up.

It is refreshing to get up to a lovely, and cheery person. Her "good morning sunshine" makes me smile at 4am.

I guess commercials weren't bad enough, but now they are pitching discount tote bags between the copious salutes to the troops and fluffy cloud/snow pics. I really can't take this show seriously anymore.

I gave it 6 stars because they use shyann Malone and her weird all teeth smile to fill in now and again. She's pretty but her smile drives me crazy.

I used to love this show. I saw Robin on air in an airport early one morning and they hooked me. Would leave on in BG and let them loop the headlines as intended. Unfortunately about the time they changed the shows set; they fired Brian the sports guy and the news delivery starting incorporating more and more of the talents opinions. I know CNN is parent co but this used to be a daily routine welcoming HLN into our homes. We have made our change to one america news and fox business. Yes they seem to lean a bit to the right but I'm not sure that is the case. I believe it's perception resulting from the conversion from CNN/HLN and the far left delivery. Thank goodness I didn't watch MSNBC. Bob still rocks the weather and love his persona. Somehow he can deliver the weather with his own style and not come across conflicting. One would think the rest of the talent and moreover management would figure this out. Just deliver the news objectively. I don't need a chuckle or eye roll with talent delivery of news. Just report the news and report all of it. It's not like there is a shortage of air time. I wish they would update their approach but unfortunately know the reality. .
