Strawberry Marshmallow: A Crime Thriller? Or Just a Fun Slice-of-Life?

Ah yes, Strawberry Marshmallow, the dark, gritty story of a high school delinquent who drinks, smokes, and commits crimes-or at least, that's what you'd think if you took it way too seriously. But for those who actually understand the genre, it's just a charming slice-of-life anime with exaggerated humor, as is common in Japanese media.

The review claims there's "NOTHING cute" in this series, which is interesting because most people seem to find the comedy and interactions between the characters adorable. The show isn't about glorifying bad behavior, but about playful antics, over-the-top personalities, and fun dynamics. And the "where are the parents?" argument-well, if anime needed a traditional family structure in every story, we'd have a lot less content to enjoy.

If you can appreciate Japanese humor and slice-of-life storytelling, Strawberry Marshmallow is a delightful watch. If you're expecting a strict moral lesson in every episode, you might want to stick to educational programming instead.

    Not good for anyone

Often described as "cute girls doing cute things" is actually the complete opposite. There is NOTHING cute about what goes on in this. This entire series is all about a highschool delinquent(the network censors made them change her age from 16 to 20 but she's supposed to be 16) who drinks and smokes and steals. All of her horrible behavior is presented in a positive light as if its a joke and its supposed to be cute. And none of the characters have any parents around.

This is the kind of series that if you think you'll like it from pictures you'll hate it from watching.
