Lots of fun - good bang for the buck

This movie is a fun, fast-moving swashbuckler that is so much better than it deserves to be, given the very low budget. Good story, excellent editing, decent acting, and surprisingly good sword fights.

The settings (in and around the Chicagoland area) are convincingly rural and historic. The costumes are believable, and the dialog is just fine.

As to the sword-fighting, I'm no expert, but I sure was sold on how these were choreographed. Clang, Clang, Slash, Jab, Stab!

Good, escapist entertainment - worth a look for this first feature effort by some up-and-coming Chicago filmmakers.
