Today's Man

I thought that this was a great film about a person who is seen as different by other people but is really not that much different at all. I think that someday his condition (Aspergers Syndrome), will be better understood and people who have it will be better accepted in to the world.

His story is told in many different parts. I wondered while I was watching it how he was feeling and what he was thinking as he experienced the things that he was shown experiencing. I would of liked the film to have been an hour longer so I could have learned more about him. New York City is featured prominently in the film. This was interesting to me because it is such a big place. It can also be a socially dominating place. When one considers the fact that Aspergers Syndrome is a disorder where people who have it have problems with social skills and social interaction, I was left to wonder how he feels in that kind of environment.

I hope that a follow up film is made someday because I would like to see how his life has progressed since the events in this film.
