Julie Cypher penned and directed this short with an eye toward placing it in the festival circuit. She tapped a long list of her Hollywood friends to participate; kd Lang, Ellen DeGeneres, Joey Pantoliano, Lou Diamond Phillips, Dietrich Bader, Taylor Negron, Miguel Ferrer, Melissa Etheridge, Catherine Keener,Dermot Mulroney, and other musicians, comedians, and actors in her social circle."Arduous Moon" is rarely seen, and notable mostly due to a cast of heavy hitters taking part in such an intimate project. Sherman Allen, guitarist in Phillips' band "The Pipefitters" is prominently featured, as are other members of the band.The film was shown on the Bravo network for years, but is very hard to find now.
