A moving documentary, needs to be seen more

This is a film about Christian LGBT students (maybe some straight allies) travelling across the USA to various Christian universities where LGBT students have had a hard time being themselves, due to policies that may result in their expulsion, or due to attitudes that have led to suicides.

The message to administrations is that LGBT students and their message aren't going to be ignorable any more, and that they don't get to dominate the story any more, with nobody speaking truth to their power. The (sometimes inconsistent) message to LGBT students is that other people are there for them, and will help them deal with their situation on campus, if only for a day or two. The message to students generally is to be willing to have a fair and non-confrontational discussion with other Christians, who have a LGBT-friendly point of view.

As an atheist person, I'm not really sure what to make of liberal Christianity. I can't find any basis for it in the Bible, and that's partly (but not entirely) why I rejected Christianity.

That said, I can still admire daring, strength, and generosity that it takes for this group of people to get on the bus and go directly to places of learning that are harming LGBT students and the public at large, and tell them that it doesn't have to be that way. Some of these people risked family relationships including financial support, to be on the ride. As well, people they met risked their reputations on campus, and whatever punishment may result.

There were a variety of reactions, from arrest and vandalism, to discussion and meeting together. It's almost certain that for some listening students, this will have been the first time they have heard someone on their campus saying plainly that LGBT people are created and loved by their god, to be just as they are. That's a life-saving concept.

The stories people tell are moving, and I recommend it.
