    A weak documentary overall...

I was intrigued at this documentary as I sat down to watch it. It begins with the word "Celibacy" superimposed upon an image of skulls. It gives some examples of celibacy in many cultures that I found very interesting.

Unfortunately it degraded into a tirade against celibacy in the Catholic Church. The narrator states that Catholocism is the only religion that forces celibacy on anyone (which is inaccurate) and the rest of the film seemed to make vague attempts to connect Catholic celibacy to child molestation.

The film also indirectly suggested that celibates somehow wasted their lives because they didn't produce offspring.

It started out as an interesting documentary but it was far too focused on Catholocism and clearly extremely bigoted against celibacy (mostly in the Catholic Church) to provide the objective viewpoint that a documentary should.

    I highly recommend this documentary

I think Antony Thomas has provided us with and made public information long overdue - how sick and twisted the 'men of cloth' have been and still are today. Nuns and children raped and abused even as we speak. Somehow the common people still turn a blind eye - blindly believing that religion will deliver them from evil, blindly believing religion is refuge for saints. Men who think they have some entitlement exempting them of responsibility for inflicting pain and lacking compassion and who continue to hide their mental illnesses behind the dark facade of religion. Expose them. Stone them will you please.

    Thank you Antony.

    Most truthful documentary I've seen

I feel that this is the most truthful film I've seen. I know it's tough for people to believe that a man of the cloth could take advantage of so many women and children but it happens everyday even to this day. We have held these men in such high honor. We trusted them with our secrets, lives, families and our spiritual lives to have them betray, not only the victims but the world. The CHURCH has a huge responsibility in this horrific tragedy. The CHURCH, the HIERARCHY, has swept these victims, people, hero's lives under the rug hoping they would just go away. Finally, victims have a voice and they are going to keep speaking out.Congratulations to Anthony Thomas for speaking up for the victims of these crimes.
