This movie is good entertainment, but it doesn't really bring about many laughs.
I was expecting something maybe in the likes of the American Pie movies or such, given the title of the this particular movie and the fact that it was labeled as a comedy.
The story was adequate, but the acting was good. For me, this movie failed to make me laugh, though it was basically funny throughout the movie, just not to the point where you laugh. It drew forth a couple of smiles, that was about it.
Despite the failure to make me laugh, I still found the movie to be good entertainment. I think this movie is perhaps one such movie that is best watched while nurturing a hang-over.

Forgive me, I'm not going to go into too much detail (this film has already taken too much of my life) but, please trust me when I say... Do not watch this movie. Bar Adam Sandlers "Over board", this is the single worst movie I have ever seen... Honestly, ever.
If you are a 14 year old boy, please ignore the above... Dude, it's got tits... Although seriously, try spankwire - take advantage of the modern age. I had to cope with old copies of Razzle when I was your age, you debauched little bastards.
If you do decide to watch it, don't tell me I didn't warn you.
Peace out

I really like Matthew Lillard. He's the kind of actor that just gets by. Nothing is really extraordinary. He just does his job in pretty cool movies.
This is a good one. There's money, women, sex, and all the above. My favorite part is the slacker aspect of it. I also like how the main character re-evaluated his life at the end, and decides to go back to school to pursue a real career.
It was a decent effort. I like movies like this.
Watch it if you want.

The plot of this film definitely seemed intriguing and was a little more explicit than expected. The film is labeled as a comedy but it's humor is that of silly sexual gags that feel forced where it isn't exactly humorous. Slightly reminiscent of the film The Girl Next Door (2004) in some aspects but of course that film is easily superior. The lead character of Alex in the Pool Boys also gave similar vibes to the character of Emile Hirsch in the Girl Next Door.
As a film it is relatively predictable but still moderately entertaining. It does conclude with an expected positive message in the end. The love angle turned out as expected. Comedy is subjective and this isn't a laugh out loud comedy. Some of those early IMDB reviews claiming how hilarious this movie is sound ridiculous and very over exaggerated.

"If you need anything you call your cousin Roger and I'll hook you up. I never would have said that if I thought he was gonna take me seriously." After graduating from high school Alex needs help with his scholarship. When is internship goes bad he calls his cousin Roger (Lillard) for help. When Roger's job turns out to be less then advertised he is unsure of what to do, then he meets Laura (LeFevre) and they all come up with an idea. Everyonce in a while I enjoy the occasional low-brow comedy. This one is very comparable to "Girl Next Door" in the subject matter. This one involves the kids making money by opening a brothel instead of a porn movie. The cast is actually comprised of some pretty big names and is entertaining and funny throughout. When you watch don't expect an Oscar type movie, but this is actually one of the funnier "boobie" movies that have come out in awhile. Overall, a funny and entertaining way to spend an hour and a half. I give it a B (for boobies...ha ha)
