Quickpick

A very funny and wonderfully directed film. The movie showed Miami and it's color and ethnic flavor in an original, refreshing light. Mr.Vazquez is definitely a talent too look for in the future. The Miami local film scene needs a refreshing new voice that has a stronger sense of film making. Quickpick is the kind of movie that can influence local film makers to tell stories in the magic city that more reflect our cultaral mix. The only problem is that a talent like Will Vazquez will probably end up doing more films outside of Miami as more of the film industry catches. I look forward to his next film and I hope there are other strong directors on the way from Miami. I highly recommend this film to anyone.

clever little local comedy

this was a great first effort by will Vasquez.its a nice showcase for local south Florida comedic talent.bravo will, bravo! I enjoyed all the performances, especially the strippers. the film looked great. Shot on video, it looked more like film. The lead character Eddie, was lovable and likable enough. i thought the convenience store scene was funny.I also liked the gangsters chasing Eddie.The girls were all knock outs too. I liked the guy Rudy's girlfriend. she was cute.also the girl in the water. and he girl in the bed with the doctor.nice going Will! I also liked the old lady smoking weed.The guy playing the co worker was funny too. plus the boss was funny and the mailman.

Nice Romantic Comedy

This movie was very funny and I found it highly entertaining. There were many pretty models and actresses in the movie and the film was generally stacked with good-looking people. The main character is someone who anyone can relate to. It is a cute film to see with a date or on a Saturday night. It is a movie that makes you think about the nature of love, romance and luck as well. I like how the film was shot, since all the locations looked appealing and like places you would want to go. It seemed to be shot in the tropics, like in a vacation type spot. The characters all did seem to have their own original voices. The pace of the film was fine and I was curious as to what would happen next. It is a good movie that you really should see if you like the Romantic Comedy genre.

Great Story! Very Funny!

This film is so funny! I love all the characters and the story was really original. It's refreshing to see a low budget film out of Miami's indie film scene to be so well done and executed. Never a dull moment. The girls were really hot, especially Angelina Assereto, who plays the sultry Sonia. The main actor John Bryant did a superb job with the main character Eddie. The photography was absolutely beautiful and this film captures Miami like no other film I've ever seen. The characters act and talk like real Miami people.

I believe this this was the director Will Vazquez' first film who is obviously an up and coming talent to watch for. I saw it when it premiered at the Chicago Latino Film Festival in May and I understand it opened the Kansas International Film Festival in September. Let's hope we can get it on Netflix soon.
