    Lost and Found

The second series of Slinger's Day and they have been some cast changes.

Andrew Paul and Liz Crowther have departed probably realising that the quality of the scripts will ever go downwards.

They were correct. This is feeble stuff with scripts being recycled from previous episodes and other shows written by Vince Powell.

So here, a member of staff is remonstrating with a customer. Slinger puts his oar in and ignores repeated warnings from his staff.

The result the customer has put one over Slinger and his employer. Very much the same that happened in previous episodes.

There is also a subplot where Fred decides to return to Ireland and gives Slinger an envelope with £1000 to look after.

Slinger could had put the money in the safe or told Fred to look after his own cash. Instead he misplaces it.

    • Trivia
Vince Powell re-used several of the jokes and scenes from this series in Never the Twain (1981). The scene from this episode with the applicant for the secretary's job who cannot type was used as the basis of the plot in S9 E2, A Point of Honour (1989).
