In the 2006 Gameboy Advance version of Final Fantasy VI, it is no longer possible to use the Vanish-Doom spell trick to kill monsters including Intangir. You can however use the Confuse-Smoke Bomb trick to kill Intangir or use the Traveler lore spell by Relm and Strago to kill Intangir and net 10 magic points for each victory.
