Sophia explains that she's moving on, her son Phil badly needs her help, and despite the fact that he lives in a trailer, she feels she needs to do her motherly duty, the girls try to convince her to stay, and recount several, big memories.
I have a problem with this one, it is actually quite funny, but it felt a little lazy in the scheme of things.
Series three has produced multiple classic episodes, this just isn't one of them, the original material is actually very funny, but there's about 3 or 4 minutes of it, the rest all flashbacks, and great as they are, I can't score this episode highly.
The schedule on this show must have been brutal on the stars and team, you wonder why they didn't just make the series a little shorter.
The show was only in its third series, and some of the material was just way too fresh in the mind.
Hopefully the second part is better.
5/10.

- TriviaUnbeknownst to the actresses, several members of the prop department took photos of themselves in exaggerated erotic nude or semi-nude poses and compiled them into the prop calendar "The Men of Blanche's Boudoir." Filming ground to a halt when the Girls saw the calendar for the first time on set and promptly fell into hysterical laughter. Afterwards each woman received her own copy of the calendar, signed by the prop department. McClanahan's copy was auctioned after her death, selling for over $4000.
- GoofsJust before Dorothy asks Blanche if there was any doubt she would go out with Dirk, the camera quickly zooms in on Bea Arthur.
