Lisa Kudrow’s new trending show on Netflix, No Good Deed, proves she should’ve starred in a dark comedy series a long time ago. Kudrow has been a screen legend since starring as Phoebe Buffay in the cast of Friends. Like her five co-stars, Kudrow was launched to superstardom by her 10 seasons on the show. But she’s also had a great career outside her time on Friends. She starred in the cult classic Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion with Mira Sorvino and gave scene-stealing turns in movies like Neighbors, Booksmart, and Hotel for Dogs.

As the Covid-19 pandemic spread across the globe, Emmy-nominated actress Betty Gilpin returned to her childhood home in Connecticut, opting to ride out uncertain times with her parents and two younger brothers. She even slept in a bedroom that she said was “frozen in time,” complete with Destiny’s Child posters on the walls.
It’s an image that invites rapport: In the most difficult circumstances, a veteran actress returns to the warmth of her childhood home to snooze under vintage pictures of Beyonce. Other parts of Gilpin’s life, however, seem unreal.
Back in September 2019, Gilpin readied for the release of Craig Zobel’s “The Hunt.” It marked her first big-screen leading role, but outcry from no less than then-President Donald Trump led to the film’s cancellation. The film was eventually released in theaters in March 2020 — days before the country (and its movie theaters) began to shut down.

"Is that why you didn't tell me?" Roadside Attractions has unveiled the first official trailer for a smart teen romance Words on Bathroom Walls, the latest from director Thor Freudenthal. Adapted from the novel of the same name, the film stars Charlie Plummer as a "typical young adult" in high school. He is diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia, which he keeps a secret from everyone else, and hopes his new experimental drug treatment will help him navigate high school and the outside world. Also starring Taylor Russell (from Waves) as a young woman who he falls in love with and helps support him dealing with all of it. With AnnaSophia Robb, Walton Goggins, Andy Garcia, Molly Parker, Devon Bostick, and Beth Grant. This has some striking visuals that connect with what his schizophrenic mind is showing him. I'm intrigued, looks quite good. Check it out. Here's the first trailer ...

The McU isn’t planning on slowing down with the character introductions any time soon, as the already crowded cinematic universe is now exploring bringing Spider-Woman into the mix. And according to our sources, the studio already have an actress in mind to take over the role.
We’re being told that American Horror Story star Emma Roberts is being eyed to play the superhero on the big screen. There’s even a chance she might debut in Spider-Man 3, though nothing is certain as of yet and from what we understand, she’s just one name on Marvel’s wishlist at the moment. And given that this intel comes to us from the same sources who said the studio is eyeing Daniel Radcliffe for Moon Knight and Tom Holland is in talks for a Venom 2 cameo, both of which we now know to be true, we’ve no reason to doubt it.

It's hard to believe it's been 11 years since we first met big screen heartthrob Vincent Chase (Adrien Grenier) and his boys, Johnny Drama (Kevin Dillon), Eric "E" Murphy (Kevin Connolly) and Turtle (Jerry Ferrara) on HBO's "Entourage." And, who can forget our favorite hot-headed agent, Ari Gold (Jeremy Piven)?! The eight-season series was filled to the brim with celebrity cameos, hot Hollywood nightclubs and a whole lot of partying -- and we loved every minute of it. While we finally get to see these boys back together on-screen in the "Entourage" movie on June 5, toofab is taking a look at what Vinny and his pack-mates have been up to since the show premiered over a decade ago in 2004. Grenier was probably best known for starring in the movie "Drive Me Crazy" before he nabbed his "Entourage" role. The last time Emma Roberts joined something with a canine title we got Hotel For Dogs. Hopefully For The Dogs, an action thriller that has Sam Worthington starring and Jonathan Mostow directing, will be a little heavier on the gunplay and a little lighter on the family bonding over cute pups.Writer Oren Moverman has adapted Kevin Wignall’s novel into a script that finds Worthington as a solitary assassin who agrees to help a young woman (Roberts) exact revenge on those who murdered her parents and younger brother. His guidance unleashes events that ultimately stoke her thirst for vengeance while he desperately seeks peace and absolution. We’re getting definite Leon vibes here, though it’s too early to compare the two.For The Dogs has been through a few fluctuations as it traverses development limbo: Philip Noyce was originally aboard to direct Worthington before Mostow replaced him in August last year.

(Anyone ever heard of an Alexomis dinosaur?) Also joining the cast is Justin Long (pictured right, he voices Alvin in the Alvin and the Chipmunks movies) as Patchi, a Pachyrhinosaurus. Tiya Sircar (The Internship, Hotel for Dogs) voices Juniper and Skylar Stone ("Max & Luther") voices Scowler, who round out the Pachyrhinosaurus trio.

Exclusive: Fox 2000 and The Donners Company’s Lauren Shuler Donner have set up the D.J. MacHale novel trilogy Sylo. Shuler Donner and Donners’ production president Jack Leslie brought in a package that has Thor Freudenthal to direct and Marc Guggenheim to adapt. Shuler Donner and Leslie will produce. The series follow the inhabitants of a small island who find themselves cut off from the mainland by a mysterious government military force. A group of teens escape to the mainland, only to discover that the inhabitants of the United States have all but vanished, and that they were actually being kept safe. They try to discover the source of the invasion and fight back. The first book was published this past July by Razorbill, with the second book being released in March 2014, and the third book later that fall. Freudenthal and Guggenheim most recently worked at Fox 2000 on Percy Jackson And The Sea Of Monsters.

Looking to satisfy her growling tummy, Emma Roberts hit up the Dominique Ansel Bakery in New York City this morning (August 8).
The “Hotel for Dogs” dame donned a pretty orange dress with white sneakers as she attempted to dodge the line of customers, but in the end she was bounced by the doorman and didn’t get her desired cronut.
Emma has been busy promoting her new film “We’re the Millers,” and it sounds like she’s let her domestic duties suffer as a result.
Roberts confessed, “My stuff is a mess. I had someone decorate my house and it went very wrong, to say the least. Now, it’s kind of half of what they did and half of me trying to fix it. And clothes everywhere. I am not neat. My closet looks like a sorority house in disarray.”...

I saw 2010's Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief, but for the life of me I don't remember what happens and after watching Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters, I still can't piece the entirety of the first film together. However, the only important details the audience seems to need to know are 1.) Percy Jackson (Logan Lerman) is the demigod son of Poseidon; 2.) Percy did something great in the first film by catching the Lightning Thief; and 3.) Luke (Jake Abel), the son of Hermes, is a bad guy. If there's more to know, I'm sorry but I'm at a loss, not that it really matters. I could read my review of the first film as a refresher, but that feels like cheating... sort of like how the studio is cheating anyone that pays to see this mess. An adaptation of Rick Riordan's second Percy Jackson book, this time around...

Ray Harryhausen recently passed away, but the kind of quasi-mythological adventure for which the animation legend created skeleton armies and horrifying harpies is alive and well in "Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters." Sure, the effects are all computer-generated now, but this franchise delivers the kind of silly, all-ages fun that's appeared far too infrequently on the big screen since 1950s "Hercules" star Steve Reeves hung up his toga. For this second in a series of films based on the novels by Rick Riordan, director Thor Freudenthal ("Hotel for Dogs," "Diary of a...

It’s been a pretty rough month for Emma Roberts and Evan Peters, but it looks like they’ve kissed and made up.
The “Hotel for Dogs” dame and her “American Horror Story” boyfriend showed up in New Orleans on Tuesday (July 16) and Ms. Roberts broke down crying while chatting outside a film studio.
On July 7th, Emma was arrested for domestic violence after she attacked Peters at their hotel in Montreal, prompting guests to call the police.
Roberts’ rep called the whole thing “an unfortunate incident and misunderstanding. The couple are working together to move past it.”...
