In her Season 1 DVD commentary, Janet Waldo mentions how a number of the advanced things shown are just preliminary versions of things that are now used. Things like the "food-a-rac-a-cycle" being basically a microwave oven, and moving sidewalks, which are often seen in airports.

In the shot of Jane at the beginning when she tells Judy that it's too cool to go swimming after school, her arms have long purple sleeves, which the match the color of her dress. Jane wears a sleeveless dress.
