Some relationships are unique as they cannot be defined as a lot depends on people to express their emotions,feelings and ideas.There are certain relationships which are difficult as they demand attention and time from their stakeholders.A lot of world cinema directors have concentrated on films which talk of a troubled relationship between a mother and her young daughter.A short film of 20 minutes duration can hardly be expected do much justice to such a complex theme as a filmmaker will surely have a lot to show and a little to choose.Poids Plume is a short film from France about a girl whose father left her at an early age.This young girl is raised by her mother who has her own problems.All her anger is directed at her chances to enter a dance school.It is this decision which creates conflict between these two lonely souls.A young French director Nolwenn Lemesle has triumphed by making a brave film using a tight scenario to deal with such a confusing theme.Poids Plume will charm many a family as it is a French film but it has universal appeal owing to its subject matter.
