The storyboarding scene goes on a bit long, but it's fine otherwise. It's nice to know that Rachel doesn't want to hurt Rocko (at Ed's suggestion), apart from that time in a 2017 comic when she let him fall off the top of her penthouse. Well, she is much nicer in the show itself anyway.
The scene where Rachel wheels an effigy of herself into a mob of fans show how dangerous and lethal fans can be.
The show was based on Joe Murray's personal experience of wanting to leave his own show out of personal experiences, which is very bold on his part.
Ralph Bighead (Ed's son) is a writer for a TV show, "Wacky Delly". However, he hates his job and will do just about anything to get out of making this stupid sitcom. So, he figures the best way to destroy the show is to get Rocko, Heffer and Filburt to write the show for him--as they are complete idiots. However, there is a serious problem--with these new writers, the show is a HUGE hit and it looks like the show will be on for decades. Only then does Ralph take pride in the show and he decides to write shows again--and, of course, there is a HUGE twist.
Overall, other than perhaps the first show with Earl the dog, it's the best show of the series. Clever and very, very creative.

Filburt Shellbach: [voicing Mr. Cheese] I am the cheese! I am the best character on this show! I am better than both the salami and the bologna combined!
- Alternate versionsLater reruns of this episode on Nickelodeon cut at least ten seconds of footage from the Wacky Deli pilot, including a couple of shots of Sal Ami whacking Betty Bologna with the phone, and an additional shot of him belching at the camera. These edits were most likely done for timing.
