If you're going too, fully commit.

The back and forth, between Chicago and Darfur, is poorly done. This should have been a Carter "bottle" episode and focused completely on Darfur. The whole thing felt half baked, and the Chicago portion unnecessary.

The Darfur cast really is excellent in their own right, between Eamon Walker, Mary McCormack and Noah Wyle, you have the makings of an excellent series. Maybe throw in Thandie Newton, some guest spots of the ER cast and you have an ER spin-off.

The Chicago portion is a 6/10, the Darfur a 8/10, call it a 7.

Goofs
When Carter is in the car, and the guards show up. It first shows him with sunglasses on and a scarf. When the camera pans behind him, he takes his id badge out of his shirt and has No sunglasses and no scarf. It pans back to him where he has his glasses on, no scarf, and no id tag in his hand. Pans back and he has the tag again, and then pans away and he has the scarf and sunglasses back on. You can tell they did three different shots on this and matched them poorly.
