A slow builder with a clever pay off!

What's for sale? Who is for sale? And how to negotiate your worth in a falling market, are just some of the questions tackled by this inventive short. I saw "Whatever it takes" in a private screening before it hit the festivals. "Whatever it takes" at it's core is a psychological thriller. It's got snappy "Tarantino" like dialogue that cleverly fuels this story to a twisted and unexpected end. It suffers a bit from the low budget blues. But there's a story here! An intelligent story about selling power, leverage, and how to determine worth. How do you tell a cool story in a weekend, with a few hundred bucks in a warehouse? You do what ever it takes!

Bill Marcom: We don't make any money if we give it away. Y'know who said that? Tony Robbins said that. Frickin' genius. Chin like a Buick, but a frickin' genius.

      [pause]

      Bill Marcom: Who are you?

Tommy Bacon: Tommy. Tommy Bacon. I'm here to meet Mr. Marcom.

      Bill Marcom: Like the actor?

      Tommy Bacon: Actor?

      Bill Marcom: Kevin Bacon?

      Tommy Bacon: Footloose?

Bill Marcom: Yeah, Footloose. Love that shit. They say everybody in Hollywood is related to him. You related to him?

      Tommy Bacon: No... No relation.
