One of the best from season 9

"The Maid" is not exactly a classic Seinfeld episode like "The Chinese Restaurant", "The Parking Garage" or "The Contest", but is still hilarious and clever like all episodes, even this late in the series; George Costanza's plot was the best in this episode in my opinion, Elaine Benes' plot was pretty silly, the plot with Jerry Seinfeld and the Maid was quite clever, but Kramer's plot was not that funny and weak, though shared with Elaine's plot, I wish he did something wackier like we all know him for in other episodes, and I think he done something similar to this in a previous episode; nonetheless, it's still a normal episode of Seinfeld that you can watch anytime and don't need to watch earlier episodes for it to make sense, being a show about nothing

    True to life

The area code number change was a HUGE deal when it happened. People with new numbers became outcasts of society. Kramer's issue with dating a girl because she lives 10 mins away - downtown! Is spot on! Once again, this show nails exactly what it's like to live in NYC.

Hard to Get Too Excited About

George has the only choice moments as he tires of his name and decides he should be called T-Bone, but, as usual, things don't work out so well. Jerry has a maid and she is a cutie. She starts out cleaning his place but as time goes along they spend time in bed and nothing gets cleaned. She expects to be paid but is only doing one thing. Jerry realizes what that makes her (and him). In one of the few times when Kramer's story is not funny, his girlfriend moves Downtown and she may as well be in Amsterdam the way he reacts to her leaving. He is a mess, calling Jerry at all hours, getting stuck downtown. Elaine has a thing with her area code and Kramer trying to fax her. It isn't funny.

I'm gonna keep this review sophisticated

    Hey reader.

This review right here was typed up in the month of June on date number 5th in year 2023rd in the so called 21st century of the Greg calender.

What happened in this episode of Seinfeld?: Kramer whines about dating someone and faxes stuff to Elaines phone

    George wants a nickname

Jerry and his maid have fondue and his apartment is a mess.

    Elaine who cares?

The story and the production overview: A not bad episode but you can see that Seinfeld around this time was about to pull the plug and he made a good decision because episodes of season 7 to 9 were not as good as season 1 to 6.

    Each story wasn't all exciting.

Highlight: Jerry's maid was nice to look at and listen to.

Girlfriend attractiveness level: 10 she sounded hot too.

Villian: George's coworkers for harassing him.

Overall: not a bad ep not a great ep. It's okay alright.

What can be learned? How to keep sophisticated when things are going sour.

    Verdict: very sophisticated.

    • Quotes
