According to Bob Tischler in the book "Live from New York: An Uncensored History of Saturday Night Live", Frank Sinatra and and Mayor Ed Koch were supposed to jump off the ledge with Eddie Murphy at the end of the ledge jumper sketch, but Joe Piscopo argued that "Frank wouldn't do that"; Murphy countered "And Mayor Koch would?". The air show version ends with Sinatra and Koch shaking hands after Murphy jumps.
