The first show in 2000 has Jamie Foxx as the guest host. The cold open has Will Ferrell playing Vladimir Putin and Darrell Hammond playing President Bill Clinton and Ana Gasteyer playing Hillary Clinton. The sketch has Putin discarding vodka bottles that belonged to former President Boris Yeltsin. Bill Clinton talks to Putin about his upcoming election and the war in Chechnya. Clinton jokes with Putin about participating in the war and how sometimes you do something that is bad and enjoy doing it. Hillary makes an annoyed look at Bill when he makes this joke. It is also referring to the Monica Lewinsky White House intern sex scandal a few years earlier.
