    If you knew Susie...

Young Susan Grant is being hounded and intimidated at her apartment block by an unseen stalker. Her deceased father was a well-loved and respected former associate of Cowley's and, despite the local police belief that Susan is 'crying wolf', he assigns Bodie to befriend her to find out what's really going on.

This has always been one of my favourite episodes - it's tense, unsettling and slightly scary, as we the viewer witness and sympathize with the plight of plucky Susan.

Bodie seems to enjoy his role of being her knight in shining armour - while Doyle is more in the background, doing some digging and covert investigating.

Sheila Ruskin (whom we last saw in Season 1's controversial episode 'Klansmen') is wonderful as level-headed victim Susan, and it's fun seeing how Bodie literally 'crashes' his way into her life and affections.

Despite this being more of a Bodie episode, there's still time for some good in-car banter between the boys, and it all builds to a suspenseful and satisfying climax.

This episode is slightly different in its approach whereby the boys are operating away from their usual CI5 remit, but is no less enjoyable for it, and makes for a highly-enjoyable, suspenseful and memorable story from the final season.

    Cry Wolf

Susan Grant keeps having visions of a masked man. She thinks she is being stalked.

Her mother knows Cowley and talks to him about the matter and he assigns Bodie and Doyle to the task.

Bodie believes her story is plausible. Susan works for a left wing campaigning charity and suspicion falls on an older work colleague.

It is not long before it is discovered that the threat to Susan is real but Cowley needs to find out the motives.

The villains have really gone out for a drawn out plan which Susan is only a small cog in a bigger wheel.

Bodie develops a plan by thinking on his feet when Susan finds herself in imminent danger.

    • Trivia
Rona Anderson (Mrs Grant) was Gordon Jackson's wife. Gordon didn't even know Rona was going to be in this episode until she suddenly turned up on set one day. She and casting director Esta Charkham had deliberately kept the whole thing a secret in order to surprise Gordon.
    • Goofs
During the scene when Bodie is waiting for Susan to leave work towards the end of the episode, a man (bald with moustache) and woman (wearing a fur coat) are clearly seen emerging from the building. However a minute or so later they are seen walking down the stairs still inside the building when Bauer is on the phone.
