    You should never go back.

Pedro Armendáriz Jr. stars as detective Joe Gaitan in "The Violent Homecoming". Gaitan grew up in the barrio and has just been transferred back to the old neighborhoods where he grew up and was involved with gangs. Now, much older and wiser, he has a HUGE attitude when it comes to these Hispanic gangs--and that includes knocking the crap out of gang members and doing everything he can to stop them.

In addition to this portion of the story, Gaitan also meets a nice nurse and begins dating her. However, his gung ho nature creates problems for them, as she's getting a little tired hearing about how he hates gangs.

This is a decent episode, though I wish they'd made Gaitan a little less intense and a little more realistic. Still, it's worth seeing even though it is a tiny bit of a letdown.
