Echoes

Elizabeth and Daniel Morton live in a grand estate, their domestic happiness is broken when a skeleton is dug up in the garden, Elizabeth sets about solving the mystery, who was the skeleton, and who put them there.

It's taken me an age to get hold of series 3 on dvd, it's so rare, I'm glad I finally got it.

It's a very strong start to the concluding series, a smart and intelligent mystery, where the past comes back to haunt the present.

The big mystery, what happened 120 years ago? The solution is excellent, it works particularly well.

I loved the parallels between the past and present day, it's well written, but it's cohesive to watch, it doesn't feel confusing. James Wilby nails it here, he clearly loved doubling up, Tara Fitzgerald, Matt Bardock and Paul Rhys are excellent also.

A few nice moments of horror, the shower scene looked rather good. Wonderful production values also, the historical scenes look amazing.

I feared the quality would dip by this point, it hasn't.
