UNCLE gets Medieval

A postage-stamp kingdom with no extradition treaties with any other country has filled up with crooks hiding out from the world's police. How does U*N*C*L*E deal with the situation?

I've spent my life as a minor medieval scholar and this whole episode is silly, but delightfully so.

On hand is old hand Reginald Gardiner as a profligate, reprobate uncle of the Grand Duchess.

But this is no Grand Duchess of Fenwick, as from "The Mouse That Roared." Just in from school, she's young and lovely. When she finds out what's happening she goes home so fast she doesn't take the time to wipe from her face the grime she got playing field hockey.

If you prefer something a bit more realistic . . . Why are you watching "The Man From Uncle" in the first place?

A thoroughly fun episode. Kick back and enjoy.

In the opening teaser, Illya Kuryakin is seen driving a red Sunbeam Tiger roadster, the same car driven by Maxwell Smart in Max la menace (1965), which had premiered on the same network (NBC) that season.

Goofs
During the opening car chase Lucho Nostra and Kuryakin race up a hair-pin turn, and continue the chase. About 15 seconds later the two are still shown to be on the same turn.
