Mad Jack(Denver Pyle) is escorting a young woman to return to her childhood tribe in order to be a teacher, after spending time with the western culture. En route, he stops at the cabin of good friend James "Grizzly" Adams(Dan Haggerty) who is pleased to see them both, but Nakoma(Don Shanks) is jealous, and proud Jack thinks he can still(at his age!) beat the younger man at anything, so accepts the challenge of a race, even if he really is too old for this sort of thing... Fun episode is pretty thin, even for this series, but still contains all the appealing elements that made this family series so popular, that has sadly since gone out of fashion.
