Notable for a Pre-FRASIER Jane Leeves

Sonny's father arrives for a visit just as Sonny's girlfriend moves in with him; someone is making 900# phone calls at Jan's house; Nancy wants her and Howard to join a snobbish country club.

The episode is most notable for the casting of a pre-FRASIER Jane Leeves as Sonny's girlfriend Terry. Paul Kreppel plays Sonny's dad Herb and there is a static feeling to their scenes for this reason.

Not a great installment. The funniest part is hearing Jan's twisted logic about the phone bill. She can't accept that sixteen-year-old Ellen was making calls to a sex chat service, with a guy named "Lance Long". It's great when the girls hand the phone to Amy on purpose to get a reaction.

Nancy is seen wearing a hideous green dress that looks like Carol Burnett's curtain rod atrocity from the famous "Went With the Wind" skit.

The wall in Sonny's apartment has several stills from an IT'S A LIVING press kit hanging there. One shows he and Dot at the piano and the other is him with Barbara Treutelaar who played his fiancée in Season 5's "Til Death Do Us Part". Odd he would keep her picture there after being twice jilted.

For over two decades, this and Season 4's "The Evictables" were the only episodes broadcast when TV Land ran those as part of a special programming stunt.
