    • Trivia
This marked the debut of the characters of Laverne DeFazio and Shirley Feeney, as played by Penny Marshall and Cindy Williams respectively. The pair made such an impact that they were spun off into their own very successful series which premiered about a month and half later on January 27, 1976.
    • Goofs
When Shirley (Cindy Williams) is standing in Richie's living room telling him about the fight she and Laverne had, you can see the shadow of Tom Bosley/Mr. C wearing his hat through a window next to the front door, waiting for his cue to "come home" through the door with the family.
