Aimé Anthoni plays a water level controller. Anthoni became known as Kabouter Klus (gnome Klus) in the Flemish kids show Kabouter Plop (1997). The lead role of the same name (gnome Plop) was played by Walter De Donder, who had played a soccer player as an extra. De Donder already starred in the kids show Samson en Gert (1990) but Anthoni wasn't as famous as De Donder yet. He returned in Werk aan de winkel (1999) as media business owner Karl Vermeire after he got famous.

Goofs
Pico's side job, repairing television sets, is featured for the last time before the job got dropped like a brick. A qualified technician and a high school teacher technical subjects, Pico would remain a teacher until he left. However, repairing television sets would no longer be part of his life after this title.

Crazy credits
"THE ORIGINALS" message appears in a framework at the start of each intro with theme song from De nieuwe truitjes (1990) to Love Story (1993), to honor the titles with Carry Goossens (Oscar) in the lead and Walter Michiels (Pico) co-starring. This has been the case for all re-runs and DVD and Blue-ray releases since the 2010s.
