The title pretty much says it all.

While at a theater previewing a movie, Jay notices that the lady projectionist keeps staring at him. When he visits her in the projection booth, they do the nasty...as well as the next time he goes to the theater. However, when Jay wants to actually TALK to her and not do the nasty, she asks him to her apartment. What follows is basically "Misery"...where she keeps him prisoner in her apartment.

While I love "The Critic" and think it was a terrific show, this is not among the better episodes...mostly because it's a one-joke plot. Watchable but not among the better ones.

This is easily one of the weirdest things I've ever seen.

This episode is in my opinion probably one of the weirdest pieces of media that I've seen.

The beginning was pretty darn funny with every one falling in love, except Jay.

The plot of the episode itself is pretty odd, It felt like I was watching a soap opera, but no offense to writers, I came here to watch a Comedic animated series, Not what ended up happening in this episode.

Although the plot is very crazy I have to praise the jokes because they're pretty darn funny.

Well, at least the jokes from the beginning, everything else or wasn't funny or was pretty odd.

I hope that the writers were just experimenting with this episode and that the rest of the series isn't this weird.

But, hey this all my opinion, if your opinion is different than mine don't think you're a strange person because of that, I myself thought that when I read the reviews of this episode.

If you have a different opinion, don't be shy to express it.

I give this episode of "The Critic" 6/10.

    Miserably in Love

This is another of my favorite episodes of the show; but also, one of my favorite "Halloween" episodes and "Valentines Day" episodes. I know a non-conventional pick for "Valentine Day" but that's part of why I like the episode.

It's of course springtime which means spring fever, which also means love is in the air. But for Jay it's just another day as he's just luckless in love. You'd think his troubles are over once he just found someone that's into him who happens to be a projectionist (voiced well by Pamila Reed) ironically and both are hitting it off; unfortunately Jay's love troubles have only just begun.

It's just funny seeing Jay just going though the motions of his "Misery" like dilemma. There are so many funny moments, like one moment where Jay just gets knockout out with some sedative and just has Jay keeps losing time it just keeps getting funny; this is sort of a parody on the whole jumping time cliche which is in most suspense thrillers just as a device just to move the story along. Or another scene when Jay surprisingly can move the bed toward the kitchen and he trying to reach for a knife to get out and defend himself; but of course any of us that have seen the suspense thrillers can easily guess best laid plains never go well which makes sense because if they did there's no more story.

Jeremy is also good in the episode really like seeing how he's not totally self-centered, that he really does care about Jay and is doing everything he can to help him. One highlight with him is seeing him at this vending machine that sells guns, which of course parodies on the vending machine subculture going on in the 90's and now. On that scene I always wondered what happens if you typed in the other answer.

Can Jeremy save Jay on time, will Jay be able to escape a crazed fan's clutches, and can Jay's luck in love change; you'll just have to wait and see.

    Rating: 4 stars.

Jay Sherman: So, how was prison?

Jay's No.1 Fan: Well, the treated me pretty bad at first, but... then they found out I tried to kill a film critic. You know, in Texas, it's not even a crime.

Jay Sherman: I'm well aware. At the Houston Film Festival, only half of us got out alive!
