    Border town story

This episode could have been a true film noir, especially starring John Payne playing the kind of character he had in the Phil Karlson's film noir, such as KANSAS CITY CONFIDENTIAL or 99 RIVER STREET. But Charles Haas is not Phil Karlson. Yes, a sort of adventure noir story taking place in Tijuana, city of all vices, city of traffic, city of murders. Elisha Cook Jr and Frank Silvera are also in this story, rather complicated to explain. The atmosphere is the most important here, as it has always been in film noirs. Some good scenes however, especially the Elisha Cook killing, or the climax with the chase in the car cemetery, also here typical crime movies settings. Could have been far better, it had the potential to. But worth watching for noir buffs.
