It doesn't do anything! That is the beauty of it!

For years people have been searching the far corners of the universe to find the source of the all-to-familiar quote: "What does it do?" "Do? It doesn't do anything. That's the beauty of it!" And now, we know. Although it is often misquoted, the line appeared here first. An obscure 60's television show spoken by none other than Burgess Meredith, standing in front of exactly what we would have imagined the quote was describing.

Not convinced? I dare you to find a more accurate source. It almost is a disappointment that the mystique is gone. I fear the quote (and source) will be forgotten, only to be remembered, or more accurately, re-forgotten by a new generation. Much like the dancing frog from the Looney Tunes cartoons.

The only revolver that can be silenced with a silencer is the unique Model 1895 Nagant Swedish/Russian revolver. All other revolvers have a cylinder gap through which the report can be heard.

Det. Tim Tilson: What is it?

Harold Harold: Well, it's my... my therapy... I'm still perfecting it.

Det. Tim Tilson: What does it do?

      Harold Harold: Do?

Det. Tim Tilson: Yeah, what's it for?

Harold Harold: Well... nothing... nothing. I mean... that's the beauty of it.
