    Client: Brand

Brand (Barry Atwater) is a thoroughly reputable sharpshooter. He goads other men to draw first and then guns them down. He has even been to court over it but Brand managed to be successful with a self defence argument.

Brand rides into town and kills a man who doubled crossed him some years earlier. Clay Culhane and Nora were present and Clay has to admit reluctantly that the other man went for his gun first.

This does not stop Marshall Gib Scott to figure the Brand is trouble. He orders Brand out of town by sundown but Brand is looking forward to a showdown.

It is hard to believe that Brand could force a lawman to a shootout and then claim self defence. Also it was a clever move by the Marshall to invite Brand to a fist fight, but it was surely cheating when Brand used a shovel.

Still it leads to a face off between Brand and Clay. Good performance from Atwater, he makes his character despicable, even getting Tim drunk and morose after being sober for several months.
