Exclusive: There has been a change of plans for the FBI spinoff with a CIA twist in the works at CBS. Originally announced as a planted spinoff, the project, tentatively titled FBI: CIA — a title I hear is expected to change — was to be introduced in an episode of the mothership series this spring serving as a backdoor pilot.
According to sources, that is no longer happening. But the new spinoff could still join the mothership on the 2025-2026 schedule with a straight-to-series order. Casting negotiations for the male lead continue, I hear.
Written by Wolf, FBI: Most Wanted showrunner David Hudgins, Nicole Perlman and former CIA officer David Chasteen, the proposed offshoot centers on a dedicated,...

FBI: International's cast have reacted to the show's shocking cancellation. CBS announced earlier this month it was axing both current FBI spinoffs, International and Most Wanted.
The network's surprising cancellation of two of its most popular procedurals leaves only the original FBI series on the air for now. Franchise creator Dick Wolf is developing another potential spinoff titled FBI: CIA, about a joint FBI-cia Taskforce fighting terrorism.
Vinessa Vidotto and Eva-Jane Willis Respond to FBI: International's Cancelation
Vinessa Vidotto, who plays Special Agent Cameron Vo, responded to FBI: International's demise via Instagram by paying tribute to the four years she has spent in Hungary filming the action-drama.
"Never did I think this would be my life. I've lived in Hungary longer than LA, like what!?" she wrote. "If someone told me That, I wouldn't believe it. Booking this role was also my first time traveling to Europe. What does jetlag feel like?...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for FBI: Most Wanted Season 6 Episode 14 “100%.”] FBI: Most Wanted‘s first episode to air after news of its cancellation with its current sixth season is a memorable one — and the show’s 100th! — putting one of the Fugitive Task Force’s own in the middle of a hostage situation and teasing the possibility of a major loss. Hana (Keisha Castle-Hughes) accompanies Ethan (Michael Raymond-James), who promises he’s done with oxycodone, to the Va, and he’s filling out the paperwork for rehab when two vets take them and three other hostages. Danny wants Carver’s disability rating upped to 100 percent (from 50); he took two bullets to the spine and is now a paraplegic. Hana quickly texts the rest of the team about the situation (before her phone, with the others, is ...

Now that the dust is settling on CBS canceling two-thirds of its FBI franchise, questions about whether a second life could be in the cards for FBI: International and FBI: Most Wanted on another network are emerging.
More specifically, NBC.
Universal Television, owned by NBC Universal, co-produces both series, so it’s not out of the realm of possibility.
(Nelly Kiss/CBS)
The biggest surprise is that no details about potential negotiations have spilled out, but perhaps CBS made the early call to end both shows to allow some time for them to close a deal elsewhere.
When CBS announced the existence of FBI: CIA, it seemed that International or Most Wanted would lose their place on the schedule.
(Mark Schafer/CBS)
But now that they’ve both been canceled, it’s hard not to imagine the possibility of CBS’s loss being NBC’s gain in this scenario.

All season long, there were rumblings that one of the FBI spinoffs were destined for cancellation.
The negative buzz surrounding the fates of both FBI: International and FBI: Most Wanted were both right.
CBS said, “Hold my beer,” and swung the hatchet on both shows on Tuesday afternoon.

The unprecedented move means FBI: International and FBI: Most Wanted will conclude with their fourth and sixth seasons, respectively.
The only silver lining in this messy decision is that both series will likely get some form of closure.

The TV procedural world was upended on Tuesday (March 4) afternoon when the news came down that not one but two fan favorites would be given the sudden kibosh by their network. Both FBI spinoffs FBI: International and FBI: Most Wanted were suddenly canceled by CBS after four and six seasons, respectively. Per Deadline, the news came after “difficult” negotiations with the Dick Wolf shows’ production company, Universal Television, and the in-the-works spinoff FBI: CIA is still in development. (Also unclear? Whether FBI-to-Most Wanted transplant Shantel VanSanten will return to the main show after the cancellation.) Fans reacted to the news with immediate shock on social media: “That really sucks those were great shows,” wrote one fan on X (formerly Twitter). “This is awful news,” another added. “I’m sorry what do you mean They Cancelled FBI Int??!! mw got kind of boring but International?!!” another person wrote in response to the news.

CBS might have been the first network to hand out a wave of mass renewals for the 2025-2026 television season, but the network has also now become the first to hand out the most shocking cancellations of the year so far.
In an unexpected turn of events, CBS has announced the cancellation of nearly its entire FBI franchise revealing FBI: International and FBI: Most Wanted will both be ending with their current seasons and will not return with new seasons as part of CBS’s 2025-2026 lineup. The only show in the franchise not impacted by the cancellations is FBI, the flagship series, which was previously renewed for three seasons back in 2024.

The dreaded deep cuts on CBS’ series slate are starting with two high-profile cancellations. The network is not renewing the FBI spinoffs FBI: Most Wanted, which will be ending after six seasons, and FBI: International, canceled after four seasons. Both Wolf Entertainment/Universal television series are headlined by big stars, Dylan McDermott (Most Wanted) and Jesse Lee Soffer (International), who moved to the offshoots from other Dick Wolf shows, Law & Order: Organized Crime and Chicago P.D., respectively.
The cancellations leave the highly rated mothership FBI, now in its seventh season and Year 1 of a three-year pickup, and potential new offshoot FBI: CIA, now in development at CBS. The axing of Most Wanted and International boosts FBI: CIA’s chances. A planted spinoff set to air as an episode of the mothership series, FBI: CIA is currently casting with several actors in negotiations. Based on the talent that gets attached,...

FBI: Most Wanted follows the FBI's Fugitive Task Force as they track down the country's most dangerous criminals. As the first spin-off of FBI, the CBS show was introduced through a backdoor pilot in the original series, expanding Dick Wolf's crime universe.

Brace yourself FBI fans, we’re about to see FBI, FBI: International, and FBI: Most Wanted all taking an unexpected break… and that’s not even the worst part of the news.
As confirmed via the official CBS schedule for the week of March 3, there will be no new episodes of FBI, FBI: International, and FBI: Most Wanted airing on Tuesday, March 4. Typically when the shows take a week off, CBS airs reruns in their normal timeslots which allows fans to at least enjoy an encore of a previous episode as they wait for the next new episode. Unfortunately, that will not be the case on March 4.
Instead of airing reruns, CBS will be bringing viewers a night of special programming which will begin with a special presentation of The Price is Right at Night in the opening time spot typically occupied by FBI. The Price is Right at Night...

Might there be hope for Hana (Keisha Castle-Hughes) and Ethan (Michael Raymond-James) on FBI: Most Wanted? She seemed ready to write him off after learning he’s been taking pills, but in TV Insider’s exclusive sneak peek of the February 25 episode, there may be a glimmer of hope. It was two episodes ago that Remy (Dylan McDermott) asked what was going on. “I miss him like crazy,” she admitted, though he wasn’t on her mind at the time. She could’ve ended up in the foster system like the fugitives they were after at the time; she can’t imagine what it’s like to feel unwanted and knows they were solid ground for one another. Ethan was that for Hana, too, but she never told him. “What you said, this dude needs help. Be careful,” Remy warned. Now, in our exclusive clip, Ethan stops by Hana’s after she invites him over.

CBS decided to renew a bundle of shows on Thursday. The network dished out early extension deals to all three NCIS shows, as well as Tracker and Fire Country. A franchise that was notably absent from these renewals, however, was FBI. And fans are starting to worry that the franchise's absence means that they could be leaning toward cancelation.
To be clear, the flagship show, FBI, is safe. CBS already dished out a three season extension to the show in 2024, meaning FBI still has two more seasons on its contract. There was no need to issue an extension. FBI: International and FBI: Most Wanted are a different story. Both shows are not renewed through their current seasons. Thus, Nina was tending to her family.
The team’s quiet morning was ruined when they saw a man murder a random woman and give chase. This led to the discovery of two disturbed youths playing a twisted “game” where they would live-stream killing random people for “points.”
Aiding the team was Jill Potts (Teri Wyble), a computer specialist agent who helped them track the killers down.

Disney’s Moana 2 is sailing to 4K Uhd and other physical media formats in March – and it comes with a lot of extras…
Disney had a pretty big year with Pixar’s Inside Out 2, Marvel’s Deadpool & Wolverine and Moana 2 topping the 2024 list of highest-grossing films. You’d think such a huge company had money to pay more attention to their blockbuster posters…
After a successful run in cinemas, Moana 2 is now heading to physical media formats. The animated sequel will be available on 4K Uhd, Blu-ray and DVD and you can also get a 4K Steelbook version. Those will all hit shelves on 17th March. You can pre-order that on Amazon. There will also be a box-set with both Moana and Moana 2 included.

This article contains spoilers for the series finale of “9-1-1: Lone Star.”
“9-1-1: Lone Star,” aired its series finale on Monday night and, sadly, two potential spinoffs at Fox never came to pass: One starring couple Tk (Ronen Rubinstein) and Carlos (Rafael Silva) (also know by their fandom nickname “Tarlos”) and one centered around Owen Strand (Rob Lowe) in New York.
“Lone Star” showrunner Rashad Raisani told TheWrap that he was “desperate” to get the Tarlos series off the ground and hopes that it might still happen. He also explained that one of the reasons he didn’t kill off any of the main characters in the Austin-set series is that he hopes they can show up in ABC’s upcoming “9-1-1” offshoot, which is currently in development.
“9-1-1” moved to ABC for Season 7 and the new spinoff will also be set up at ABC, but Fox was not interested in continuing the franchise.

I know what some of you may be thinking.
Every time I mention FBI: Most Wanted, it’s likely in a critical fashion, which may beg the question, why do I even still watch?
What can I say? I’m a creature of habit, and for the most part, I like to see things through.

Speak No Evil, the 2024 American remake of the European horror thriller of the same name, has found success on streaming in the New Year. The film, starring James McAvoy in a great horror performance, has climbed up through the top 10 list of Peacock's most-watched movies, and currently sits in the seventh spot.
Written and directed by James Watkins, the horror director of Eden Lake and The Woman in Black, Speak No Evil is based on the Danish-Dutch thriller that shocked audiences in 2022. The original was an extremely bleak but still satirical story of a couple and their daughter who meet another family on vacation; they accept an invitation to spend the weekend at a remote farmhouse owned by this seemingly perfect family whose child is unable to speak. The American remake is pretty similar, as the following synopsis shows:

The fall finales of CBS’s FBI franchise shows have arrived and with the shows’ final episodes of the year comes the start of what will be the season’s longest break yet.
FBI, FBI: International, and FBI: Most Wanted sign off the air with their fall finales on Dec. 17, and those episodes will not only be the last new episodes of the year, but they’ll also be the last new episodes fans will get to enjoy until late January when the shows finally return with their first new episode of 2025.
So just when will the FBI shows be back? Following their fall finales, fans will have to wait until Jan. 28 for the next new episodes to drop. That’s right, we have a five-week break ahead of us as CBS sends the shows on a winter hiatus which is honestly coming much later than we’re used to seeing.

Why Is There No New FBI This Week (November 26) & When International, Most Wanted, & Flagship Return
There is a reason that CBS is not airing new episodes of the FBI shows on November 26, 2024. The hiatus comes immediately after the flagship series raised the question of whether Jubal could be leaving FBI. Jubal closed a case involving the murder of a student during a college protest, but while investigating this incident, he abused his power to convince the NYPD to release his son, Tyler, who had been arrested along with other protesters, and Isobel suspended him when she found out about it.
The other two series in the franchise didn't have nearly as dramatic cliffhangers. The FBI franchise has been a dominant force in the ratings for CBS for many years. But FBI: Most Wanted has continually proven that expanding some franchises isn't the best idea. At Wolf Entertainment we will have our eye on the next generation of talent to emerge from the School of Dramatic Arts.”
The newly named Dick Wolf Drama Center opened in February 2024 as a reimagining of the former United University Church, a historic building on campus. According to USC, “a point was made to retain the 1930s-style architecture — complete with stone engravings, spiral columns and stained-glass windows — but the interior was completely redone for the modern age.”
