Pirates of the White Sand

Don't want to give it away...so I will only say that when you see this is showing in some sort of festival...go see it! It's awesome! Oh, I need to have ten lines, OK...it is obviously made on the low budge end of the stick. It does suffer from some technical problems (there are times when it sounds like the sound was being recorded in some sort of "cone of silence"), and some of the cast isn't top notch (notably Ruthie, the woman running the bar, comes across a bit cardboard at times) but the energy of the Pirates easily makes up for any other problems. They put in a rocking soundtrack as well. They managed to pack an features worth of fun into a small package. I can only say that I hope the folks that made this short managed to get it made into a full length romp of Pirate fun! I know I'll be keeping my spyglass pointed on the horizon for any future White Sand antics, and I suggest you do the same. Pirates of the White Sand, at least the version I saw, I hear rumors that there is a new "Official Director's Bootleg" in the works, is also fun for the whole family, so don't be scared to bring the kids! So, while this is certainly no "Pirates of the Caribbean," (but I bet if you gave these guys that kind of money, it would be better!) it is definitely something you should go out of you way to see. I've even made my mom watch it!
