    Bizarre and dreamlike mess

Incredibly weird film. Obviously made for no money at all, with lots of gratuitous nudity, horrendous CGI, dirt cheap looking practical effects and a repeating soundtrack. The cast, dressed in what can only be described as mom's closet and dad's garage, valiantly work their way through a dreamlike and bizarre script, and somehow all of this.. kind of works? I could never recommend this film generally, but on the spectrum of bad filmmaking it's a fascinating watch that winds up more charming and earnest than it has any real right to. It appears to be a fluke given the creator's record otherwise, but I'm glad it exists. An asylum level production with originality and, incredibly, actual vision.

    Tedious Home Brewed SciFi

While demonstrating skill in cinematography and art direction, this micro-budget sci-fi indie is appallingly constructed and suffers from lifeless direction and even worse editing. Much like the various fan films for STAR WARS and THE MATRIX, most of the effort has been spent on video game cut-scene CGI (which to be honest isn't the worst you'll ever see)and pretty costumes, but not a finger lifted to devise compelling characters or coherent storyline. I've got a cast iron stomach when it comes to watching terrible movies, but I just had to bail out after the 45m mark. I know people will scream "Hey, you should've given it a chance!" or "Look! It's a zero budget indie built with honest sincere sweat and the finest of intentions", but to that I cry "bull-plop." A film should be judged for what it is not on some sliding scale or crouched in polite language to shield the egos of thin skinned wannabe filmmakers. This film is terrible and the only joy I can take from it's release is that at least it wasn't a Polonia Brother(s) film.

    An old school SF pleasure!

If you liked the French SF comics published in the 70s in Heavy Metal (Metal Hurlant), then you'll totally get where this movie is coming from, and you'll love it. You'll get all homages, the wherefores of the characters and the world they live in, and you'll be glad someone made this movie. The big studios would never do it, though I imagine there are still a few writers and directors out there who wish they could.

If you don't have this pedigree, then you will probably not like this film very much, which is a shame, There is already so much in movies nowadays not to like, it's very sad for you that there is one more film you will end up adding to the list. I feel sorry for you!

Me? I enjoyed it from beginning to end, watched it twice so far… fond memories of Moebius, Starcrash, and 4E came rushing back, and all in all, I am grateful for that.

Surprisingly well made celebration of olden SF values. for CGI haters.

I must deduct a point or two, because the storyline is very complicated, and not in a good way. This might also have to with the fact that the audio is not always clearly audible. And the only thing I knew about this movie was the genre and the title, not even the tag-line.

But otherwise ... This is a superior made movie, especially if you consider the limited budget. What makes this one special, is that by using less CGI, only at moments when they really have to, they manage to make it look more real than the current big studio-crap out there. For example, NBC's web-series IQ-145 and Gemini Division with big stars like Thomas Dekker and Rosario Dawson, are completely acted in front of a blue screen, and while their CGI doesn't look bad, it gives a really cartoonish taste to their webisodes.

Millennium Crisis, on the other hand, embraces their special effects, which might be a bit outdated, but that gives it its charm.

What's also quite refreshing is that they tried to make aliens as alien as possible, with a decidedly alien-sounding hiss-and-click language, breather masks, and they didn't follow the unholy Battlestar Galactica trend.

Because these days the biggest sinner against Sci-Fi rules is the new Battlestar Galactica, of course! The rule is: When using aliens and alien cultures and customs, the CHALLENGE is to make them as unhuman-like as possible of course. Make the non-Earth beings as Earth-like as possible, especially in their motivations.

It's not a challenge AT ALL to make people or beings in scifi look and act like badly disguised present day Texans, Chinese or Pennsylvanians! That's just insulting the viewers intelligence.

The new Battlestar Galactica makers claim that they wanted to focus "on the drama" as the reason for all this, so they made the cinematography look like the thirties, and the new series "Caprica", look like Canada in the nineties!

By huge contrast, this film really tries to be really alien in the art direction and cinematography at least. In the storyline, they fail a bit, a vampire angle is rather human, and what's more, they don't explain that it IS a vampire until the last quarter of the film. So, the story can be quite hard to follow. Nevertheless, all in all a good film, with adequate acting, strong female roles, which is what probably pissd off the other commenters, since the chances are that they're white males. There aren't any strong roles for them in this film.

As a fan and avid low budget movie watcher, I can say that in comparison with other low-budget sci-fis, like the Asylum ones, the BSG webisodes and the Webserials, this one surpasses them in quality by far.

    Avoid it !

If I take 5 of my friends and a cam, I'm more than sure we'll make a better movie.

Trust me, there's nothing to see in this movie... except a pair of breasts for about two minutes, for those who are interested in this kind of stuff :)))

There's nothing to worth a watch; bad camera work, bad acting, bad directing, absolutely no effects and a wretched scenery (a few red/green lights, a few blankets and bed sheets and some time to time a couple of SF pictures to show the location :))) Pathetic !

Really Painful ! Avoid it !

Harkness: Lexi, what did you do to Murnau?

Lexi: I used an atomic decelerator on him!

Harkness: And why did you choose such a weapon?

Lexi: Potential energy weapons are banned on Altair IV.

Harkness: So you etherized his entire corporeal being? We have expended much, including the life of Fiona in order to make Klaaghu who is a Lazerene like myself into Kluduthu. Now, his entire corporeal being has been dissolved by an ancient and impractical weapon, and do you think you killed him?

      Lexi: No.

      Harkness: No.

Lucretia: He may yet be Kluduthu.

      Lexi: Well then it's alright?
