A fantastically funny and moving short and New York Story!

This is a wonderfully funny and hilarious short film that also has a great dramatic edge... terrific thruline and arc... and is truly moving. All New Yorkers will relish this story but any man or woman especially women will be impressed and touched by the dynamic explored between man and woman... stranger to stranger in this beautifully shot short (kudos to the cameraman and director) with great music that has the earmarks of a great Larry David episode or the angst of a fantastic Albert Brooks movie... I suggest the previous mentioned see this film because I love and adore this film! It accurately deals with love, confrontation, and hostility in the big city and how we co-exist. I recommend this short film to everyone and to mature kids of all ages.

    Short, sweet, and captivating

This is a delightful piece of work! In about 7 minutes director Guy Shahar takes us on a journey. The Apologist, Joe, (Chris King) throws around b.s. apologies without any thought of the true meaning of the word. When confronted with a woman (Stephanie Bast) who won't accept his apology, he is forced to fight for forgiveness, and we witness a beautiful moment of vulnerability when the character gives his first heartfelt apology. The story rings so true in the crazy rush that is New York City, where people are constantly rushing past each other with little to no thought for anyone else. This short is shot well, the editing and visuals are great, and cheers to the actors and director for a job well done!!

    A Classic New York Story

Guy Shahar's short, The Apologist, is probably one the better shorts I've seen in a while. It's very clever and reminded me of classic New York films like 'When Harry Met Sally' and 'Manhattan.'

The film revels in its ability to mix quirky characters with a typical New York situation. Just when you think you're watching a frothy comedy, it surprises you and reveals how observant it is about the relationships between men and women. Plus, with its black and white photography, it makes New York positively glow.

This film is going to do very well at the festivals (or should, anyway) and hopefully people will be able to catch it on TV. Be sure to check it out if you get a chance.
