    This Was My Endgame

After rewatching the original Lilo and stitch movie, the Sequels and the tv series, I decided to complete my stitch binge watch with the finale movie. As a kid I was obsessed with the world of stitch and all of the creative aliens and of course the Pokémon lover in me was thrilled when i saw there were so many experiments besides stitch with such a wide array of superpowers and gimmicks. I would print out pictures of each experiment and create my own logbook with drawings and profiles on each cousin. Funny enough I never was able to watch the show in its entirety, so everything I knew about stitches cousins came from a handful of episodes, the Stitch sequel and this movie. Let me just say that I must have paused this movie as a kid at least a 1000 times, trying to take pictures of every experiment with my kodak disposable camera. I wanted to capture the image of every experiment, because at the time there wasn't much merchandise or even info on each one and I was obsessed enough to do it myself. Ironically Lilo also has a similar book filled with pictures and info on the cousins, which this movie gives a lot of screentime to, making this world feel so much more alive. On rewatch, I felt such a surge of nostalgia, not just for the movie itself but for each experiment that I had just seen in the tv series, which made me feel rewarded for knowing all their names and powers. The movie's story takes place after the tv series, with each experiment being rehabilitated. The main cast of characters are all back, with each keeping their likeable personalities, however they are now forced to break up their family, with each character being given a new opportunity in space leaving Lilo behind on Hawaii. This sad subplot actually was very effective after watching the series and seeing how close they had all become as a family, thankfully this split does not last long. The villains from the tv series also return in all of their glory, with hamsterviel finally proving he is a threat to the galaxy by creating an evil clone of stich called Leroy who takes over the title. Leroy himself is not given a personality besides being evil, but his menace as well as funny evil moments make up for that. Surprisingly we get some villain redemption arcs in this movie, with the former Captain Gantu, who has been humiliated repeatedly in the tv show to the point you feel sorry for him, finally he completes his character arc by abandoning his evil ways and becoming a hero. Because he is my favorite character, this made me very happy. On top of that his sidekick 625 is given a name "Reuben" and also helps Lilo to save the day, while stitch is absent. The comedy is golden in this movie with so many laugh out loud moments which still hold up for me as an adult. The animation is very nice to look at, keeping its consistency with the original movie and the tv series. The action is truly special in this film, because it just feels so vibrant and energetic. The best part of the movie of course is the avenger's endgame moment, where all of stitches cousins are pitted against the Leroy clone army, which is done in spectacular fashion. There is so much going on in the chaos that you need to rewind to catch every detail of the battle. Lastly the heroes save the day with the good old song from the first movie, "Aloha Oe" that by the end of the performance always leaves me with a big dumb smile on my face, as the "Ohana" is finally saved, ending with a big group family picture that serves as a perfectly sweet ending to the franchise. The movie is still a fun watch, showing affection for Hawaiian culture and being a great sci-fi comedy. After watching the tv series, i can say that you do not need to watch every single episode to enjoy this movie, but watching a few will definitely enhance your enjoyment of seeing each experiment. All of these years later I still see this film more than just a movie spinoff to a Disney channel tv show, I see it as a grand finale of epic proportions, that also completed every single character's story with a ribbon on top. I know there was an anime that continued the story of stitch, but for me this is the true ending to this delightful world of hula dancing aliens.

    A Straight-To-Video Sequel as a Series Finale?

Leroy and Stitch gives the Lilo and Stitch series a nice conclusion. I'll admit that it could've took more time to make the finale something amazing and it can be at times melancholy. But it has ended the series well with an exciting villain arc and characters getting new development as the show's finale, along with limited but nice animation. And during the end credits, it is fun to look for names of all 626 experiments not just for the show, but even those that never appeared there as well. By the way, some of these names that didn't make to the show are kinda silly. Have you watched the series, even as a 2000s kid? Then this will satisfy you. The purpose for this is for the grand finale of Lilo and Stitch The Series, and it's definitely for those that have watched the entire series to check out. Not as great as the original, but it succeeds in ending the series on a good note.

    Cute...

In this animation, the villain Dr. Von Hamstervial (Jeff Bennett) breaks out of prison and immediately begins work on a devious new creation: "Leroy", who looks like the gentle alien Stitch and is sent to Earth to destroy everything in his life. Path. To defeat the mad doctor and his wacky experiment, young Lilo (Daveigh Chase) must reunite with Stitch and his other extraterrestrial friends; unfortunately, the only thing that can stop Leroy is a performance by Elvis himself.

Very cute and cuddly like all the drawings in the franchise... I skip the action part (and there are many scenes of escapes and explosions), I really like the jokes, I love that skinny one with 1 eye, and the big one, but the duo, Lilo and Stitch are cuties personified...

    better than expected

It was good, trying to follow the same formula as the previous movies, but I feel they didn't get it completely.

The story is decent and with some funny moments but also I feel that they were just recycling and repeating the previous movies stories. The plot was decent and convincing with a very good rhythm.

I like the music very much and the animation was great as it is always on Disney's movies.

The cast of voices was very decent and good.

In conclusion, this wasn't the best movie of the series by far, but I think its pretty enjoyable and entertaining to spend a good Sunday afternoon with the family.

    I love stitch!

I cannot believe I have never seen this movie! I put it on as something simple to watch why I play on my iPhone. I love stitch. This was such a cute movie. I would definitely recommend it for any age. I started looking up more details on the characters on google. Did you know Lilo is autistic? I had no idea! It makes this movie and her character even cuter! I believe it said this movie is 21 years old. My 15 year old were debating on what came first this movie or Pokémon. Because of similarities and it ends up being Pokémon is 27/28 years old. So my daughter won that argument. I would definitely watch this Disney movie again! Stitch is the best!
