The fire surrounding John Cena and the undisputed WWE champion Cody Rhodes is currently at its peak, and fans just can’t seem to have enough entertaining segments from the two. Ahead of their epic clash at the upcoming WrestleMania event, the two have been butting heads for quite some while now, building up all the excitement and buzz around their fight.
But the latest turn of events has been nothing short of epic. This is because, this time around, Cena brought up the dark past of the American Nightmare—including his leaving WWE for Aew—that Triple H would want fans to forget. And yet, what was even more surprising was that Rhodes seemed to accept that past and make fun of it instead of being embarrassed by it.

When Karisma Kapoor Lashed Out At Pooja Bhatt And Manisha Koirala(Photo Credit –Instagram)
Karisma Kapoor might be missing in action from the big screen now, but there was a time when she was ruling the roost during the late 90s and the early and mid-20s. She made her debut with the 1991 film Prem Qaidi and soon became one of the most sought-after actresses on the block. However, this also led to her having some speculated catfights with her fellow contemporaries. In a throwback interview, the actress had taken a sharp dig at her contemporaries like Pooja Bhatt and Manisha Koirala.
In an old interview with Stardust, Karisma Kapoor was asked about Pooja Bhatt and Manisha Koirala, thinking that she is too ‘pompous and arrogant.’ The Dil Toh Pagal Hai actress was quick to lash out at these actresses. She said, “I’m so tired of this. Why can...

Most of the heroes' abilities and attacks in Sailor Moon have elemental and celestial themes. The Inner Sailor Guardians have fire, water, thunder, and light abilities. Sailor Moon's strongest abilities have a celestial theme, as she wields moonlight and stardust to destroy, to heal, and to purify.
Since a warrior's powers align with the celestial body they come from, Sailor Chibi Moon also has moonlight-based powers. She doesn't have many lunar attacks, seemingly because she's still a young princess of the Moon Kingdom's line, but it seems that she will follow in her mother's footsteps. Together, they channel the pure light of the moon as they battle their enemies.

Shonen anime is one of the most popular genres of anime, and it earned that popularity largely from the legendary anime that paved the way back in the 1990s. Many anime at the forefront of discussions today are from the '90s, whether it be Dragon Ball or JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, which was revived with a remake in 2012. What makes many shonen anime stand out is the fights.

Despite the disastrous reception to the 2000 film that starred Jeremy Irons, Dungeons & Dragonsis an extremely popular property that has spawned generations of fans. The tabletop gaming franchise has become so synonymous with the fantasy genre itself that any further adaptation of the universe faces the challenge of representing an experience that is uniquely tailored to each player. Although the universe that has been built over time has proven to be very dense, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves served as a terrific introduction to the franchise for new players that also left many Easter Eggs for lifelong fans. Filmmakers John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein crafted the type of swashbuckling adventure that fans of The Princess Bride and Stardust have craved to see, as Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves has the makings of being a generational cult classic.

It won't be too much longer until Charlie Cox makes his grand return as the Devil of Hell's Kitchen in "Daredevil: Born Again." Ever since Netflix made the decision to pull the plug on the original "Daredevil" show (plus the whole roster of street-level Marvel shows), fans have been clamoring for Cox to return in some form. It's clear that the folks at Marvel Studios were listening, prompting a very welcome cameo in his Matt Murdock garb in 2021's "Spider-Man: No Way Home," followed by a cheeky, if weirdly contested appearance in an episode of "She-Hulk: Attorney at Law." I'm sorry, but Daredevil doing the "walk of shame" with the cowl on is hilarious.
Cox's guest spots in other Marvel properties were welcome appetizers, but it quickly became clear that folks wanted to get back to business. The third season of "Daredevil," after all, left some plotlines without resolution and...

Over the years, Charlie Cox has given breathtaking performances in numerous roles across multiple different themed projects, but his one role that will forever be regarded as perfection at its peak will always be that of Matt Murdock in the Daredevil universe. To say the least, his portrayal was so epic that now fans can’t imagine anyone else as the character but him.

But playing the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen, of course, didn’t come easy to him. Rather, in what might be one of the most surprising turn of events, he was originally called to read for a much different character. However, being the genius that he is, Cox put a non-negotiable condition for Netflix before saying yes, resulting in his eventual genius casting as Murdock in the saga.

Daredevil: Born Again sees Charlie Cox's titular antihero from Hell's Kitchen fight fiery battles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe on a broad scale for the first time. However, Cox teases that fans of Matt Murdock could see him transition from the Disney+ series back to the big screen, teasing the possibility of him appearing in the next two Avengers films, Doomsday and Secret Wars.
Speaking with GQ, Cox addressed Daredevil's potential big-screen MCU features, including the Avengers sequels and Spider-Man 4. Admitting that "it's more possible than it's ever been" for Murdock to come face-to-face with the new-look Avengers, Cox believes a Daredevil appearance in the upcoming superhero blockbusters would elevate his character's standing.

GQ has published a fantastic new Charlie Cox profile which sees the actor reflect on his career and how landing the role of Matt Murdock in Daredevil turned things around for him. However, he wasn't initially on Marvel's radar for the Man Without Fear.
The actor auditioned for the role and was asked to test in Los Angeles. However, Marvel Television wanted Cox to play Foggy Nelson. "For whatever reason, having had this kind of empowering experience [spending time in the Scottish Highlands], I said, 'I will come, but I’m only reading for Matt. I’m only reading for the lead,'" he recalls.
Cox admits that his career didn't take off the way he expected after landing the lead role in Stardust and, while an impressive supporting turn in Boardwalk Empire followed, he knew Daredevil could be make or break for him. Then, in 2018, it all came to an end.

Henry Cavill fans have wanted to see the former Superman actor take on the role of James Bond for a very long time, and finally they have been given their wish…sort of. The actor’s 2005 audition tape for the iconic role of 007 has surfaced on YouTube, giving fans a look at what might have been if the actor had been cast in the role instead of Daniel Craig in Casino Royale. However, at the age of 22, it is clear from the footage that Cavill was perhaps a little too wet behind the ears for the role, and the right choice was made in the end.
The leaked footage shows Cavill with long hair, delivering a series of classic lines in scenes from GoldenEye, the movie that introduced Craig’s predecessor, Pierce Brosnan, to the world of James Bond. Cavill is asked to do multiple takes of lines such as “Bond,...

Neil Gaiman, the best-selling fantasy author whose works have birthed several hit TV shows, has been sued for sexual assault by a woman who says he raped her multiple times while she worked for his family as a live-in nanny.
Scarlett Pavlovich, in a lawsuit filed on Monday in Wisconsin federal court, brings claims for sexual assault, battery and human trafficking, which center around allegations that he coerced her into forced sexual encounters with him as a condition of her employment. The author has a “decades-long history of sexual misconduct” as alleged by several women, many of whom have signed non-disclosure agreements, the complaint says.
The filing of the lawsuit comes in the wake of Dark Horse Comics announcing last month that it would no longer publish adaptations of Gaiman’s works after New York magazine published a cover story detailing his alleged history of sex crimes based on interviews with eight women.

Charlie Cox is undoubtedly best known for playing Matt Murdock, the blind vigilante patrolling the streets of Hell's Kitchen (not the Gordon Ramsay restaurant), New York, as Daredevil, in the appropriately titled hit series, Daredevil. Cox is set to return as Daredevil, this time with his own series in the MCU, when Daredevil: Born Again premieres this March. But, years before he wore Murdock's red suit, Cox was best known for leading a cult-classic adaptation of a beloved fantasy novel. Stardust, based on the eponymous novel by the disgraced author, Neil Gaiman, featured an all-star cast, with Cox front and center, and it's found a new streaming home.
Stardust is now streaming on Paramount+. Released in 2007 and directed by Matthew Vaughn, Stardust is a fantasy romance film following Tristan (Cox), who promises to the love of his life, Victoria (Sienna Miller), that he'll retrieve a fallen star from the magical kingdom of Stormhold.

Studio Ghibli films didn’t make it to the West on their own. Sometimes, Hayao Miyazaki needed a helping hand, especially in the 1990s when anime and films from Japan weren’t so popular.
The only obstacle was to prevent the Disneyfication of his films so that they could fit a Western audience. Many Western producers sought to do exactly this which would’ve made Studio Ghibli films lose Miyazaki’s touch altogether. Princess Mononoke nearly fell victim to this.

New allegations of sexual misconduct and assault have surfaced against Neil Gaiman, the best-selling fantasy author whose books Good Omens, American Gods and The Sandman have become TV series.
On Monday, New York Magazine published a cover story titled, “There Is No Safe Word,” with writer Lila Shapiro’s piece detailing new claims against Gaiman based on interviews with eight women. This follows the July 2024 release of the Tortoise Media podcast Master, which reported earlier graphic accusations by five women against the celebrated genre writer. (Four of those women were among those who spoke for the New York Magazine piece.)
One of the claims comes from Scarlett Pavlovich, a former babysitter for Gaiman and his ex-wife Amanda Palmer, who described being sexually assaulted in February 2022 by Gaiman in New Zealand in a backyard bathtub.

Gaiman experienced a lot of success as a fantasy writer and many of his works have been adapted into films and TV shows, most notably Starz's American Gods, Netflix's The Sandman, and Prime Video's Good Omens, with Disney ordering an adaptation of The Graveyard Book ahead of the allegations. In a new detailed report by Vulture, even more women came forward and gave more details about the accuse allegations. The author denied the sexual assault allegations, but his career took a hit, as Disney canceled the adaptation of The Graveyard Book, and the highly anticipated series Good Omens canceled the plans for Season 3, and will end with one final episode instead.

Back in 2007, Neil Gaiman adaptations weren't so prolific as they are today, which means that fans of the author had to take what they could get and hope that their favorite story wouldn't be destroyed on the big screen. Fortunately, this was not the case with Stardust, a romantic fantasy movie directed by Matthew Vaughn before he took on huge franchises like X-Men and Kingsman. This month, you will be able to revisit (or discover) the movie as Paramount+ includes it in its catalog.

Henry Cavill is one of the most handsome and chivalrous men in the entirety of Hollywood’s entertainment industry, but his acting career hasn’t been all that bright. Even though fans adore him for his praiseworthy personality and ripped physique like that of a Greek god, the 41-year-old actor has been at the receiving end of much criticism over his onscreen performances.

While Cavill has earned a place among famous franchises like the Dcu, his acting career still seems to be lagging drastically, with him being criticized for having one of the worst major “star” careers in Hollywood. That said, now it’s up to Warhammer 40K and Highlander to help him put an end to this very criticism.

Most viewers know to take the world-building within fantasy movies with a grain of salt, as the magical systems and cultural hierarchies aren't always easy to follow. However, a good speculative fiction film will ease audiences in and help them understand the characters and the universe they inhabit. Despite this, there are plenty of examples of when a movie slips up and incorporates a scene that doesn't align with the logic of the world or makes a character act unlike themselves. These missteps often occur when a film needs to move the plot forward, whether it makes sense or not.
Confusion is hardly unique to the fantasy genre, as there are superhero movie scenes that make no sense, and plenty of sci-fi films are confusing from beginning to end. However, viewers are already looking for holes in the plot and character development, so the pressure is doubly on. While these...

Netflix's La Palma includes a great cast of both seasoned and new actors. Directed by Kasper Barfoed, the non-English language Netflix original series follows a group of characters on the westernmost island in the Canary Islands called La Palma as they are faced with a dangerous ecological crisis. The series' combination of familial loyalty, great visual effects, and an engaging storyline has made it a hit on the streaming platform.
Although several movies and TV shows depict natural disasters, there is something unique about La Palma. The series is intriguing from its very first episode and gets better as more information is revealed. The Netflix miniseries’ cast members all give an outstanding performance and perfectly portray the fear that comes with knowing that the world might be coming to an end.

The NeverEnding Story is regarded as one of the most beloved children's movies of the 1980s, becoming a core part of millennials' early lives. The film -- which celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2024 -- grew so much in popularity that it became a franchise. As most things go in the film industry, when something's celebrated for its originality and cultural impact, it gets a reboot.
Based on Michael Ende's 1979 novel of the same name, the 1984 film follows a 10-year-old boy named Bastian Bux who's cast out of his difficult home life and into a magical land that's under threat by a force called "The Nothing." A reimagining of The NeverEnding Story is coming to theaters in the future. Given how many years it's been since a live-action retelling of the story has hit the big screen, it's due time for The NeverEnding Story to get a modern makeover.

Henry Cavill already has three franchises lined up for the near future, and they are a lot better for him than a return as Superman and Geralt of Rivia. Henry Cavill’s acting career began in 2001 in the movie Laguna, and after roles in movies like Red Riding Hood, Stardust, and Immortals, along with the TV series The Tudors, his big break arrived in 2013 when he played Superman in Man of Steel. Schrader is one of the most prolific names in Hollywood, having written the screenplays for Taxi Driver and The Last Temptation of Christ and directing critically acclaimed films like Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters, Affliction, and First Reformed, to name just a few. Superman had an incredible journey in the DC Extended Universe, and Henry Cavill's version of the famed character shines in one scene that encapsulates everything wonderful about his iteration. After the Dceu timeline begining with Man of Steel, the cinematic universe went through several ups and downs, and never saw its own Superman trilogy realized. Despite some inconsistency in quality, many saw Henry Cavill as one of the brightest spots in the entire universe. With multiple appearances across various films, Cavill is argued to be among the best of all the live-action Superman actors.
Regrettably, Man of Steel didn't receive a proper sequel that would have allowed Superman's story to be better explored. Instead, Zack Snyder's trilogy expanded with the controversial Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, a film that not all audiences were receptive to. Why Henry Cavill Missed Bond Role (Photo Credit – Facebook)
Henry Cavill as James Bond? Yep, it almost happened. In 2006, our favorite Superman was this close to slipping into 007’s tux for Casino Royale. He even made it to the showdown—but Daniel Craig swooped in and claimed the license to kill. Fast forward to No Time to Die in 2021; we all know how epic Craig’s run turned out. Cavill’s near-hit as Bond? It was a total plot twist that ended up working in his favor.
So, why didn’t it pan out? It wasn’t about talent, that’s for sure. Cavill’s audition caused quite the buzz. Even director Matthew Vaughn, chilling at Pinewood Studios, then spilled some tea on The Spotlight with Jessica Shaw. It turns out that Craig himself is chatting about this “young guy” who is gunning for Bond. Vaughn called it “bizarre” but...

Something Wicked this way comes in this week’s film quiz, with 30 all-new film-related questions, some of them about witchy business…
A movie version of Wicked has been a long time coming down the yellow brick road and this week’s new release still only covers the first half of the smash-hit Broadway musical. Meanwhile, this week’s film quiz is themed around witches but there are also questions about werewolf and vampire movies, slasher-movie villains, found-footage horror… heck, it’s looking more like a Halloween quiz than some of our Halloween ones.
Once you’ve completed all three rounds of movie-related questions, you’ll find a link to a separate post with the correct answers at the bottom of this post. As always, this is just for fun, but please let us know how you did in the comments (scores out of 31 this week!) and give us any other lovely feedback.

Obscura have announced their new album, A Sonication, arriving February 7th via Nuclear Blast Records. The opening track and lead single “Silver Linings” is out now.
The German death metal outfit is kicking off the album with a ferocious opening salvo, with blazing-speed riffage and a rhythmic arrangement that’s exasperatingly complex. Fans of the band’s technical virtuosity have much to dissect here, though the song truly ascends when the backing melodies come in, adding an entirely new layer of textures to the soundstage.
“With ‘Silver Linings’ we present you the first track of our brand new album A Sonication, which sees the light of day in early 2025,” declared band mastermind Steffen Kummerer via a press statement. “Supporting the new record, Obscura will embark on the first leg of a world tour in February next year. Lend your ear to the music, and see you at a venue near you!

Barbie director Greta Gerwig will helm the upcoming Chronicles of Narnia remake, and Henry Cavill has proved his readiness to feature in it. Netflix will distribute Gerwig's Narnia remake after the 2000s movie series ground to a halt after The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Walt Disney and Walden Media joined forces to make the first two movies, but Disney quit after Prince Caspian's box office disappointment, leaving the third movie an even smaller affair, and the remaining books unadapted. So, Gerwig's reboot offers C.S. Lewis' books a new chance, with a 2007 Cavill project providing a perfect template.
Little is known about Gerwig's upcoming Chronicles of Narnia reboot, scheduled for 2026, thus far. With no casting confirmed, it remains speculative who will or should represent the characters of The Chronicles of Narnia books. The Londoners Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy Pevensie get evacuated to the English...
