Hélium

This is a very, very unusual short animated film that manages to be almost indescribable. This is a rare case where I am not exactly sure how to explain what the film is all about or how to put it into words. There are a huge number of white blob-like creatures that look a bit like Casper the Friendly Ghost. However, they are cuter and have the ability to change shape rather easily. At first, there are only a few but later you see more and more hatching. Then, the cute creatures begin to fight for space and become not quite so cute!

You really need to just see this CGI film for yourself. The story, though strange and a bit confusing is really secondary. What's important is the great animation and other-worldliness. For fans of shorts who don't mind an odd film, this French one is well worth seeking.
